The 'World of Naked in School' Story Festival

Hello;

June 5th is World Naturism Day, and what better way to celebrate than getting it all wrong. :) The 'World of Naked in School' Story Festival is a 'tongue somewhere other than on or in the cheek' response to the Naturists.

If you've been around online erotica long enough you might remember 'Karen Naked in School' back in 2001, along with a whole host of stories that followed after it in the same theme:

You come to school monday morning only to discover you have to attend in the nude for the next week.

After a few bursts the format largely moved off the 'front pages' of the assd community, but we're still out there, and this festival seeks to bring new life to the genre as well as inspire other genres that hit the same fetishes.

###################
Participation:

Participation is simple, write your story, post it and then let me know where it is so it can be linked in to the festival on the NiS website. If we get enough participation, the stories will be set aside on the NiS Website as festival stories, if not they will be integrated in with the other listings with a call out such as [Festival].

This part of the festival is meant to give NiS a strong boost towards Adult stories. Keep that and Literotica's rules in mind.

This is not an official festival of any sort, and there isn't a solid deadline per se. Stories will be announced as they come out. Once we've got a decent number of them, we'll have the members of the NiS mailing list pick the top three for a special call out.

###################
The basic genre:

While there has been a lot of way too serious and way too political commentary on NiS, the genre itself really is somewhat silly, optimistic, sexy, and often romantic. Think of that classic dream of suddenly finding yourself naked or in your undies at school, work, church, or somewhere equally inappropriate. That's where NiS begins, but built around the naughty pleasure of being both embarrassed and turned on by this. While the stories often start out humiliating, NiS is not a humiliation genre. Part of the silliness is that it does all turn out for the best. You're appealing to readers who, on some level, secretly wish it was them being tossed out there naked. It's their fantasy, and in that fantasy they have reason to like what happens to them.

While it is optimistic, it can also be a dystopia of heavy handed and extreme social engineering. While that can be horrifying, in the genre here for some reason that might even make no sense it works itself out enough to be fun and erotic. It 'excuses itself' of certain notions of gritty-realism in order to be 'in on the joke'.

Story Guidelines:

Stories can come in one of three basic themes. For extra fun, work 'World Naturism Day' into the story in some preferably humorous way.

Here are the themes:
******
NiS:
First, post a 'standard' Naked in School story for -given Literotica's rules- college, or work. Read the guidelines here:
http://www.asstr.org/~NIS/program/WritersGuide_toc.htm
Paying special attention to the page on the pamphlet:
http://www.asstr.org/~NIS/program/NiS_Program_Pamphlet.htm

To learn what this entails in detail. A writer should at the least read the 'core' stories linked on the NiS website, and reading through at least the 'class of 2003' authors will help to give a better picture (though some very good authors did not join us until 2004... Heck, read it all if you like it. I did. :) ).

******
World of NiS:
Write a story set somewhere in the 'Naked in School' world that has a major theme something involving the changing nature of a world moving over to an acceptance of public nudity of an intentionally sexualized nature. This could be anything from a simple encounter with 'the naked freaks' to a 'living naked' story, with a range of options between.

In the core of NiS that world means a clothed male, naked female situation which often for even silly reasons works to the advantage of the nude individual. Public sexual expression may or may not be accepted, but it tends to happen at some point either way. Some variants have allowed men to go nude as well, but more NiS stories have at some point commented on the illogic but existence of bans on adult male nudity - which itself could provide a theme in the world outside the schools.

******
Naked World Fiction:
This is the 'screw this' side of the festival, for authors who reject the NiS idea, but still want to write something guaranteed to turn its fans on. Here you write a story about being in a world full of naked people, and all the absurd sexual encounters that result from taking anything but a Naturist point of view on it. An example might be something like the 'Joan Carter of Mars' story, where a plain Jane bookworm from Earth suddenly finds herself on an alternate Mars of steamy climates and naked oversexed people. Countless other varieties exist, putting your character in the future, alternate worlds, fantasy lands, dreams, comical afterlifes, center of the earth pulp jungles, or whatever.

###################
Coding:

Please don't make me guess your codes. All stories must be coded according to Uther's guidelines on storycodes:
http://www.asstr.org/~Uther_Pendragon/code/scfa.htm

And if a story delves heavily into the 'hotcodes' it won't be considered for the festival, but might end up linked on the NiS_hotcoded page.
http://www.asstr.org/~Uther_Pendragon/code/subtle.htm#HOT

Characters who engage in sexual activity should be at least adult in age and maturity. Stories should not be based on racial, ethnic, national, or class stereotyping - which is not to say that characters in the story need or even should be free of having negative viewpoints or beliefs in stereotypes. Remember, we don't want to insult people, we want to turn them on.
