Dragons took to the sky's riders upon there backs as skeletons charged along the ground sieging the castle. "I think it's time we made our move Fellow hunters." Dran the head of the hunters was a young man of age 20 or so. No one truly knows, he keeps his past to himself but his reputation moves along against his permission. He is a ruthless but out standing warrior, few ever reach his level of skill and tactics. However one could not tell by looking at his thin strands of blond hair falling down half of his back. He took off upon a great red dragon. "We will feast well once we have the treasure."

A few minutes latter in the dark castle a man in black armor rushed threw a giant red door baring it behind him. "My queen, the castle is falling. Please escape while you can. I will protect you."

"No, I can't do that if I go now then they will gain my power. You must keep it safe Leejes. I will give you the key and you know what you must do."

"Sadly I know my duty but this is against my will." The raven haired queen in a white ground pulled a key on silver chain from around her neck and handed it to her loyal night. Leejes then placed the chain around his wrist twisted it and looped it around his wrist again, and repeated the process a third time making sure it was firmly attached. He then slid it up his dark sleeve canceling it.

The door broke open with a burst a blue light. Three men in black robes stepped out from it. The long blond hair betrayed Drans appearance to all present. "You back up is busy with the rest of my hunters. You know I was sent her for the key so give it now."

"The only thing I will give you is death!" Leejes threw out a card from his hand it turned into black disk slicing one of the three in two. Dran quickly threw out his hand another card flew through the air turning into a black arrow which pierced Leejes's shoulder.

"You'll be dead soon enough so don't struggle." The other cloaked man threw out his hand and a card hit the ground and a massive stone golem arose and with one punch knocked Leejes out the window. "I didn't tell you to kill him. Oh well matter not." Dran turned to the queen. "So where is it Silea?"

The queen pointed to the broken window and simply stated. "Like my brothers chances of ruling the world, it just went out the window." Dran went to the broken glass and looked down to the rushing river.

"I will find that key for your brother." Darn then turns to his fellow hunter he takes several steps to get right next to him. "You made this mission that much harder." He jabbed his hand into the others mans body with out causing him to bleed in the least. He then pulled his hand out And his victims soulless corpse fell to the ground. "I will use your card to make the mission easier for me."

Dran turns back and looks at the princess. "I would stay but I have a body to chase. My kings minions will be here to keep you company soon enough."

OOC:

The player chara's here are card users. Every card user has a card that represents there soul. When a child is born there card is blank but as they age they begin to draw a picture of there life's work, and there goals upon it. These cards are the most precious in the game.

There are several types of cards. Soul card represent the users soul (Yea I mentioned it once already.) Spell cards have instant effects such as the fire disk above. Item cards create a solid object for a while, such as Drans poison arrow above. Monster cards make creatures to serve the user. When a card is used it's picture goes blank for a few hours until the card is recharged and ready to be used again.

As cards are used they gain experience, about the world are ancient shrines that can be used to make old cards into newer stronger ones. The two main methods of this are evolution and fusion. Evolution simply changes the card into a form based upon it's experience. Fusion takes two cards and creates a third card based upon the first two cards.

Card users in this world are some what common about 3% of the worlds people are one. Still a skilled card user with a good deck can take on an army of lesser normal humans using traditional magics and weapons.

"Get Him!"

"Shit!" An young man rushed through the shadows, careful not to awaken any more gaurds. "Man it was going according to plan until YOU had to try and eat the guys leftovers!" Something inside his backpack gave an small whimper. "Don't try that inocent crap on me!"

"There he is!"

The young man slid to an hault, glaring at the gaurds before him. "Thats it..." He pulled out an card, and flung it at the gaurds. "Wolf pack! Strike em down!" Suddenly an pack of evil looking wolfs attacked the gaurds, devouring them as the young man ran past them.

"There's the wall.... If I can just get over it..." He picked up the speed and jumped, as soon as his feet landed on the ground he pushed himself up and over the barbed wire on top of the cement wall.

"Fire!" The surviving gaurds puled their bows back and fired at him.

One nicked his pocket, ripping it open letting all the cards fall out "No!" just as a he was about to fall over completely, he grabed three of them, then landed hard on his back. "Damn, that hurts...." He then got up, and ran into the night.

"I don't belive this..." Kenji looked through his remaining cards, most of them were useless with out the cards he lost. He gave an long sigh. "This is sooo not good..." Kenji laid back on the tree, and pulled the back pac to his side. "Hey, we're safe now, so you can come out..."

Kenji heard rufling in his back pack, then nothing. "Come on Kage! Its safe!" Kenji put his right hand in his sack an carefully pulled out an black fox. "Would it be so hard to behave yourself for once?" The fox gave an low growl. "Just hold still... I wanna make sure that fall didn't hurt you seriously."

Kenji raised some of Kage's furtosee if there were anycuts or bruises, but found nothing. "Well thats good..."

Bio: he first came to the country of shadow to Join Drans Forces, or so he claims. He faild the training aparently and has been lingering about for what ever reason.

IC: I had been walking the path contimplateing the roles fate has chosen when I heard a sound by the river, I walked over and there was a man laying face up on the beach. I aproached carefull unsure of what beast my lie about. An arrow in his chest told me that the beast was man and I aproahced quicker now.

I kneeled by his side and his hand slowly moved up to around his neck and hegrabed a chain, a silver key hung upon it and he slowly moved it to me, as if I was supose to take it. Before his hand got the key off his neck his hand fell limped on the breathing of the knight stoped. I took the key and started to walk away, I looked back at the man and the arrow was gone, but a single card lie on his chest. It wasn't an ordinary man who did this, it was a card user.

I went back and picked up the card, if this man was worth murdering I might need a bit mroe defense. I made my way threw the bushes, towards a path. 'Who's there? come and show yourself.' I took a step forward the key safely tucked under my shirt. "I'm no one of importance."

Kenji sat on the branch of the tree, he was really in trouble. If he had his cards it would have been nothing. But no, his pocket just had to rip at that moment.

"So Kage," Kenji said looking down at the black fox "where to next?" Kage looked at Kenji for an second, then pointed its tail torwards an old vilage.

"There? Oh come on Kage! Not there!"

Kage growled at Kenji.

"Damn it... All right, you win..." Kenji sighed and looked torwards the city. "Guess its time to go back..."

OOC: I'll be moveing to the city and join you in a bit, if possible.

IC: I had my hands held out to mys die as to not startle my capture, Adraum. "Well I supose I'm not two important, I would wager a guess I'm not worth the crime of killing in any case. Then again many of the kingdoms aproach war daily so in a few years I may very well be worth killing. Ofcoarse by then killing may not be a crime." I was tense ofcaorse, any weapon can be fatal if your un armed, and few things are more otent then a deck of cards. I myself could use cards, and have a great deal of experince battleing other card users, consiering my arguably youthful age. All the same I've given a great deal of damage with cards and recieved a great deal of damage from cards.

" I, however, will not be killing anyone anytime soon. "There is a town near by, I'm heading there before heading as far away from this particluar spot. You see the world may be a powder Keg, but I feel the two kingdoms on this continent are where the spark is going to land." Okay I think he isn't as likely to kill me, but I am going to ditch this person first chance I get. Besides I am tired of talking funny, even if it is only to get his trust. Why is it when some one states the odvious they are eassier to trust?

Kenji walked through the forest silently holding Kage in his arms, "How are ya feeling Kage?" Kage gave an low yawn that contained an small whine. "Well its gonna be sore for a while Kage."

Kage snort and laid its head down, "Spoiled little....." Kenji stoped dead in his tracks, his eyes sharpened as he heard people whispering. "I know you're hiding! Come out and show yourselfs!"

Kenji pulled out his sword 6 men walk out, each holding an old, rusting sword. "Give us all your money or we'll kill you!"

IC: I began my long walk with the man. he was overly friendly putting his arm around me as if to just annoy me. I began to let my mind work on an escape plan and after a while came up with one.

"Well if you want to by me a drink that is fine. How ever lets see who buys the second round with a race to town." As soon as he is out of my view or I am out of his I just need to duck off the road and hide.

I didn't wait for his response. I simply started running and thus far I was in the lead but I didn't turn back to see where he was in relation to me, no that would make me lose speed and thus my hopefull advantage.

I stopped in the middle of the road when I came to a group of six arm men and a young man caring a fox. "Okay whats going on here?"

IC: Smiling i take off after him, pacing myself maybe 5 steps behind him the whole way. Then i saw them. guys with swords. reaching into my card pouch i drew my deck. "okay, whats going on here?" my companion said. "well it look like these ruffians are trying to rob this poor traveler. Id say they arent going to have a good day. Especially if they plan on trying it while im here." I kept my deck in my hands but hidden from there view. Wanting them to decide that i was a poor unarmed hero, foolhardy and dumb.

"They are of no use to us," said the tallest of the group, "Grab the fox and kill the others!"

"You take one step closer to Kage, and I swere, I'll kill you!"

"Don't fear his warnings! He lost most of his cards! Attack! ATTACK!" Four of the men rushed in, two in front, one from behind, and the other on his left side.

"Morons..." Kenji moved into an fighting position, his movements was quick and fluid as water. He grabed the one behind him and slamed him into one of bandits rushing forward. Kenji quickly slamed his left foot into the bandit of his left's jaw, shattering it. Before Kenji could retain balance, he felt an stinging blow hit him in the temple.

Kenji fell to his knees feeling groggy and about to pass out. "Ha! Not sure so tough without your cards now are you?!"

'Damn' Kenji thought, 'if Kage wasn't hurt, then...'

"Kill him!"

IC: "Not so fast," i screamed throwing out a card, A shield formed in front of the guy being beat on, surounding him. " and for you gus, lets see what you make of my masked swardsman" i said smileing releasing him upon them. watching as my swordsman fought with them i didnt see the blow coming from the back of me. hitting the back of my head i fell forward. "ou," i said throwing a card not quite knowing what itr was. A cage of bars formed around the guy. "let me out of here you **** **** ***" he screamed. "didnt ya mother teach you any manners" i said reaching to the back of my head and pullin my hand back and seeing blood. My swordsman had chased the others away and dissapated at its end of magic. walking over to the man as the shield dissapated i stood , deck in hand , waiting. 'i wonder how my raceing friend is dealing with his.

Outside a small village,lights and sounds bounced through the air from a few hundred yards away,the source of these things obscured by trees and hills.
Three young children,all around the age of 15 or 16,stared emotionless at a man draped in black,who sat astride a black horse.the man was obviously arrogant,but not much skilled.he drew a card out,and white and black mist seeped out its face,forming into 3 skeletal warriors.they were tiny though,about half the size of a human,and armed only with short swords,and no armor.
"hah,children,ill teach you to respect your elders!"the young man yelled from astride a black charger.
The three children just watched him for a moment,before the middle one,dressed in black pants and a crimson loose poncho-like shirt drew a card from a pocket and raised it.the other two lifted their hands also,all three of them seemed to blur a bit as fire engulfed the card and all three's hands without burning them.it shot up a bit,meeting in the air a few feet above them.it grew to about the size of a beach ball,then broke into four streaks,3 of them hitting the skeletons and turning them into ash as the last hit the man square in the face,knocking him off his seat,his body dissolving into a floating dust to form into a card that settled on the ground gently.

The middle on lowered his card and put it away solemnly as the other two gathered the man's horse and belongings,the other one sorting through the weak cards and splitting them evenly by the card's strength to each of the three.

"so it seems"-the second one,this one clad in black and a ocean blue,with startlingly blue hair and blue eyes remarked
"That makes three of these black-clad men in the last week"-the third,clad in green and brown,with brown and green streaked hair that hung like ivy around his head,and green wide eyes replied.
"oh well,it matters not as long as they stay as weak as this,otherwise...they are just a distraction"the middle one said.the other two inclined their heads in agreement as they let the horse loose and walked towards the village,using a rounding course to take them in on the other side of town.

Desc.: orphaned at an early age by a small pitched battle over a hundred yards or so of territory,the three were traumatized and have forsaken their memory.Living on their own,they train mercilessly and have separated yet also combined their effective card talents,each one of the three possessing powers of the others but also each of the triplets preferring a single element.they tend to be calm,without showing much emotion in normal situations.though not very powerful by themselves,there closeness at birth(being triplets)they're soul card is a mix of all three,though if one is killed it will split,or if they are separated at a long distance or period of time.This allows them all to use one card,adding to to its power.
Kaervek uses besides his cards a small red dagger,Lucian carries a blue rod or wand,and Aphetto carries a green and brown shepherds crook

Kenji stood up, holding Kage carefully in his arms. "Thank you for assiting us," Kenji snapped his head torwards the leader, "and as for you!" Kenji Walked over torwards him, and sadistic smile on his face. He hovered over the tall man as he quivered in fear. "How many times have I told you, I am Kage's protector, and his friend. No matter how hard you try you will not take him and harm him!"

Kenji dug into his pocket, where he always placed his deck, and pulled out an card. "You know... My teacher once told me that every bodie had an star, and evey star had an soul card... But you know, I never truely belived him... I always thought only a select few had soul cards, the ones who could use cards for good... Or evil..." Kenji held the card between his index, and middle fingure. He twirled it around revealing it. "But I know the you do have an soul card... Because I know you are an card user..."

"You know... i had always wanted to know, why do you want Kage?" Kenji lightly tossed the card to the ground, right in front of the bandit. "I ask you, why?"

"M-my boss, Jaraton, he wants Kage!"

"Why?"

"I- I don't know!"

"So you harmed my friends... Killed every bodie in your way, just for Jaraton?!"

"So what!? I had fun doing it!"

Kenji sneered, then gave an evil, demonic like smile. "You know, I always wondered... What your soul card looks like! Soul reaver!" The card suddenly disapered into the ground. "Take his soul card..." Six black shadow like vines bursted out of the ground and struck the bandit. One vine, however slipped into his pocket and pulled out an blank card.

"No!" The man began to disapere. Soon enough, he was gone.

"Fo all that you tortured... You will now be rebourn as an card." Kenji walked over and picked up the card, wich now had and picture of an young wolf cub, surrounded burning shadows. "The Phantom Wolf Whelp? Well, this is an surprize..."

"Whats lost is lost..." Kenji gave an wild smirk torwards the new person. "My name is Kenji, and this little trouble maker is Kage." Kage growled at Kenji.

"well kenji, i am adraun. i have a friend to tho hes only a card and weak but." pulling a card from my deck i summoned the creature. a ferret appeared at my feet. " this is lorien. shes my first card ever. lorien meet kage" i siad as lorien sniffed kage. " anyway, where are you headed friend. "
