(This is a remake of a very old thread that I started a long time ago. I thought that since the new underworld was out and everyone has probably seen it,it would be a good idea to try and bring it back at this time. If your a new writer than your more than welcome,if your one of the original writers that made this thread awesome,I would appreciate if you came back. Anyway the bottom line is I am looking for descriptive writers for my thread, if you cant write,then don't bother)

Those words are so true because below all the average inner workings of the normal day for everyone there is a world in the shadows,a world that is right under everyone's eyes yet they don't even see it because the things that go on in this world are so horrific and surreal that they would hardly believe what is going on. In this shadowy world,this world below there is a creatures out of everyone's nightmares: Vampires,Lycanthropes,Ghosts,Demons and any other manner of "evil" creature that goes bump in the night. Vampires abduct bums to get their blood and control the streets and governments through fear and money,when lycanthropes kill they are covered up and thought of nothing more than beast killings. Regarded as nothing more than myths and creatures for shitty horror flicks,the world is just considered nothing more science fiction. For many years there was peace and a sort of weird co existance,back when humans were in the middle ages,when things were primitive and wild but ever since man started to colonize the world and civilization spread,there was a split between the lycanthropes and the vampires: the two largest groups of these creatures of shadow. Ever since the war started,it was been fought brutally throughout the years but it was fought in the shadows of the world and only glimpses of this world were shown,to be written about or made into a movie for entertainment purposes. Recently though,the war has begun to spill more and more out into the streets and the cities of the world are slowly being overrun with more and more creatures. Holding back this tide of evil at the gates have always been hunters: humans that know the truth and have mastered the arts in fighting these supernatural beings. They are the secret protectors of the human race: humans don't even know what they do or that they exist. If any hunter was ever found by humans he was considered insane and instead of receiving a heroes welcome he would find himself in an insane asylums and quickly silenced and so the war rages on between the Immortal Damned,the vampires and the Cursed beasts,the lycanthropes. All other beings of the dark just pray on humans and use the war to their advantage to remain unmolested on this earth and despite all this darkness there are a few humans that are a shining light for humanity that keep the darkness in the shadows though despite their best efforts more and more of the war are spilling onto the streets and effecting more innocent humans.
Races of The World Below
Vampires: The Immortal Damned,the vampires are undead humans. They look just like how they used to be when they were human but they are no longer living. With pale skin since blood ceases to run through their veins they are aristocratic and very regal. Despite being stronger and faster than normal humans,they are the ruler from the shadows. They have their hands in everything: all forms of government from the white house to the local police station. They own all the top scientists,weapons makers,military,media. They practically rule the world through money and back alley deals with the humans. Despite all the power they remain anonymous and keep the peace with the humans,never revealing themselves or their power.They use their obscene amount of money and influence to do what they want and when they want. They are regal and defined,having a ruling class of vampires that are pure blood or vampires that were born a vampire. Then there is the humans who are infected with the vampire disease.Finally there are familiars which are humans that know about the world and want to be vampires,so they practically become vampire slaves and do whatever their master tells them to do in the hope that they will one day become vampires themselves. No one really remembers why the vampires fight the lycanthropes but the vampires fight the lycanthropes through weaponry and technology because despite the fact that they have enchanced strength and speed compared to normal humans they really can do so much. Vampires are truly the creatures of the night because they cannot be outside during the day. UV or also known as sun light is extremely fatal to vampires. Garlic sends vampires into Anaphylactic shock, A stake through the heart or decapitation are also other weaknesses of the vampire race. As for things such as holy water and crosses dont do shit to vampires. Also other rumored abilities of the vampires such as bat transformation,that they cant die unless their coffin is destroyed and other such obscure stories are also just myths.
Lycanthropes: Lycanthropes or Lycans as they are called in short are a species of Half Human Half Animals. The werewolf,werebear,wererat,weretiger are all just common examples of the lycan. Orginally the pure blood lycans were in their half human half beast form at all times and were nothing more than just wild animals hiding in the shadows of the forest and running crazed killing humans and vampires alike but soon the lycans disease began to spread to humans and it led to a new breed of lycan. Lycans that looked human that were human but they were able to transform into their anthropomorphic or "were" form. Lycans are a pack type species,you rarely find a lycanthrope on this own,he is usually a member of a pack. Started as just the were wolf but soon other species of lycanthropes began to appear,as it seemed the lycanthropes curse could be modified by different kinds of animals. The different types soon made tribes: like the wolf tribe or the bear tribe and for a while the tribes were fighting each other for dominance but thats when the vampires tried to interject and take control of the lycans and suddenly the different tribes called a ceasefire so that they could fight the vampires,though they never really united and there is a lot of mistrust between the tribes. Lycans in human form are slightly stronger,faster and more resiliant than normal humans but when they transform they become vicious beasts that are pure power and instinct. Lycans can transform on will. The longer lycans stay in human form the more they build up a blood lust and if they don't at least transform,they lose control and go on a frenzy,usually killing a lot of innocent humans. Lycans are poor and the exact opposite of the vampires. They usually live deep underground in the sewers of cities or in the forests. Despite being poor,the lycan packs and tribes always have each other and usually work togather to survive and even bring the fight back to their enemies: the vampires. Despite their lack of respect for human life,the lycanthropes don't go crazy and show themselves out to the humans and stay hidden,that way the humans dont come down on them or the vampires find them,the lycans fight more of a guerilla war against the power vampires. Lycans can travel out in the sun light,they are unaffected by it unlike the vampires. Like the vampires,lycans can infect humans with their curse by biting them. Lycan's only weakness is silver,they are deathly allergic to it. They can take a lot of punishment from anything except silver.
Supernatural: Any other sort of super natural creature that is usually referred to in mythology. Demons,Wrights,Ghosts,Shape shifters,Djinn and any other folklore monster that you could think of.They are supernatural beings that exists in the shadows of our society,praying on our weakness and ignorance,terrorizing and just trying to survive. They could be anyone or anywhere.(if you want to be something along these lines,please just pm me and we can discuss it. I am not against being something original,I just dont need someone trying to be satan with unlimited power or something like that)

As long as there has been evil in the shadows of the world,there has been humans who know about it and have been fighting it,learning through experince how to kill these things. Hunters can be any just regular human who learned of the existance of these creatures and has decided to instead of slaving out to some vampire or being converted to a lycan,they decided to fight against these hellish creatures and defend the human race. There has been hundreds of secret organizations that have hunted for hundreds of years. Now a days in the modern world,hunters work in teams that take up in a city and prowl the nights looking for vampires and lycans to kill or investigate the paranormal and supernatural,hunting down evil where ever it might be and eradicating it.
