is being overused.

The only thing it seems to mean is
that someone has responded to a
trending topic with an opinion
that you don't agree with.

Being interested in a topic, discussion
or even an argument or heated exchange
is simply not being triggered.
The number of posts that you make
towards a topic is similarly not an
indication of "being triggered."

Triggered is when you make a point
valid or not and the knee-jerk response
is a pejorative such as racist, bigot, homophobe, xenophobe, Trumpette...,

Now who uses these terms on a regular basis?

I would recommend variants be intermixed in order to keep the term fresh: set-off, lit your fuse, got your goat, bit your bum, touched your "x", touched a nerve, and so on.

Now, what set you off enough to make this thread?

And can't refute.....that's pretty much it, and why the left is so fond of the term.

I agree. "Triggered" is being overused. "Butthurt" probably works better in many situations ... like you with this thread.

See. We can agree on some things!

I strongly disagree. Your incessant posting in a given thread used to be a pretty good bellwether as to how much a topic made you foam at the mouth.

BotanyBoy and whatever ID Que is currently hiding behind this month.

Hahaha.. I bet you’re trying to trigger ( I mean bait ol’RoryN)

"Me and my Deplorable GB asshole buddies are getting triggered more and more, so I'll try to take the sting out of the term by making a thread. And fingers crossed, 'cause it didn't work for 'OK Boomer'."

Great to see this thread. Thanks for the gift!

Oh look Rob is lying again, because he's gotta cover for the fact that he doesn't know what liberalism is as evidenced by his signature line. :D

What do you think liberalism is Rob???

Hint: you consider it glib-toxic-shit-sludge ideology. :D

Would starting a thread about the definition of "triggered" be an example of having been triggered? :D

Maybe the word is being overused because triggered posting is being overindulged.
