The word naughty - love it or hate it?

I can't stand it when guys say that to me, or ask me if I'm being n....
it is so judgmental - they have no right to judge me on what I do in my life.
I'll flat out ignore them when they say it.

I personally do not like the word naughty…it is a pet peeve of mine for some reason.

Am I alone in this?
I agree. Many contributors of both sexes seem to use it as a pusillanimous alternative when what they mean is dirty or kinky. I prefer to call a spade a spade (or occasionally a fucking shovel!)

It is judgmental only as long as YOU see it as a bad word. To them it is actually a compliment. At least if you are talking about Lit guys and not your grandparents.

Most guys here are either single or have wives that are not in the least interested in sex, so to them a woman that can allow herself to be naughty and is not afraid to talk about it is a very positive thing.

Makes me think underage as well "Have you been a naughty girl?"
Like you're 12

You probably aren't alone in your dislike, but I don't have an issue with it. But then I don't mind throwing around "cunt" when necessary, in and out of the bedroom. It's a matter of perspective and preference.
I do like a woman who knows she has a cunt and isn’t afraid to use the word! Pussy is such a pusillanimous euphemism 😖

It's similar to being asked if your being good. I guess it's all in how it perceived. Naughty doesn't really bother me, but I can see the context issue being problematic.
Context is important, said as a joke, its fine or around Christmas, asking if you've been naughty this year has some relevance to the holiday.

I like the word in certain contexts. First when I was actually young and told I was naughty for my interest what was up a dress or trying to find a way to feel a nice titty. Doing something sexual out of pure hornyness I think it implies innocence which is a turn on for me. Other times with a girlfriend that had cute little butt I would put her over my knee and spank her pink. Other times and if she was willing I’d make her bring me the wooden spoon and bend over for me. Slapoy pops all over her twat would get her so wet. Was like winding up a top…
the word has good memories for me.

I never really thought about it.
As others have said, in Lit, I think it is usually intended to indicate a positive trait.
But thinking about it, I think that even in this positive connotation, the way the word is used about women is what may cause discomfort.
The word is used almost exclusively to refer to women. Often associated with "girl," a "naughty girl." The implication being that, by being naughty, the female is departing from the assigned role. Whereas males are expected be naughty.

The work may be used in a femdomme context to refer to a "naughty boy," but I think that, in that setting, it happens because of the role reversal.

I'm sure some wil come up with exceptions.

Jeez, and I thought she just asked a simple question 🤷‍♂️

Well, since I"m on the topic of linguistics (sort of), I'll add my thoughts on "cunt" and "pussy."

The first thing I thought of is how the terms are used as insults. "Pussy" is used to indicate weakness, usually in a man. A man is weak who acts like a pussy The pussy is weak and passive.

"Cunt' is used almost exclusively to demean women. A cunt is unreasonable and demanding and refuses to accept her role in society. Hmmm.

When used to refer to actual body parts, I think of a pussy as something soft and warm that responds to gentle caresses and licks. A cunt knows what it wants and expects to get it. If she's laying on her back, I worship her pussy. If I lay on my back and she straddles me, then she puts her cunt in my mouth, and shows me where to go.

So, I would say that a twat can be either.

Anyone have thoughts about the latter word? I think its closer to a cunt.

I would agree that twat is much closer to cunt - both Anglo Saxon English terms, whereas pussy in this context seems to have US origins

Thank you for the kind words.
As a new member of Lit, I hope you are finding people and topics that interest you.
I would send you a Lit PM, but I see that you only use another messaging ap that my Lit identity is not connected to.

I am still finding my way here. There are some genuinely nice and friendly people here and mostly non judgmental (I emphasize mostly)

You can still message me here if you’d prefer
