Once upon a time in a far away land, there was a kingdom of great reputation and riches. The land was fertile and both the farmlands and the wild areas proved food, furs, herbs, leather, and many other resources. It was half ringed by mountains that held ore and gems and it had a long coast line from which ships traded and fished. There were nobles and freeman but no true peasants. There were those with wealth aplenty and those who got by with little but there was no great poverty or hunger. The natural borders and the kingdom's great knights kept it safe and free from those who looked to it with avarice.

Those who did now looked with an eye to politics. For though the Council of Nobles was strong, the fate of the monarchy was uncertain. The king had passed away five years ago, his heart giving out as he slept after a vigorous night with the queen. Not the woman who had borne his only child and heir, the crown princess, for she had died of illness a decade ago. This was his second wife, one much younger than her husband, and a remarkable woman. The Queen ruled now, as regent for the Princess in theory, and though she had ruled well there were rumors of...tension in the royal house and a certain wicked nature in the Queen.

Sir Iestyn of Mac Anu, heir to the County of the same name, had heard the rumors but he paid them no mind. People always gossiped, especially about their superiors. He had known the king and the former queen when he was a boy, being a friend to the princess before he was sent for fosterage and his training. For ten years he had served, trained, and fought, and now he was a full knight. Iestyn had come to meet with the princess and swear his service to her. He arrived at the large and formidable palace near mid-day and waited in an antechamber to be presented.

He was a young man, barely more than a boy, having just turned 18 a month ago. The knight was tall at 6'2" and had a broad shouldered, powerful build while being surprisingly flexible and dexterous. Under his clothes his young body had been honed by a decade of training into a strong and beautiful example of the male form. Hard, well defined muscle flexed and moved under smooth, taut, healthy, pale skin. He was handsome and had features that were clean and bold but with a charming boyish quality still. His eyes were a keen blue-gray and his lips were full. His hair was a tumble of chestnut brown locks that came just to his ears and he was clean shaven.

Since he was just being presented and there was no danger, he was not in full armor. He wore a long and thick quilted doublet in dark blue and green with a mail shirt under it and a thin arming jacket beneath. He wore a pair of snug trousers that were not quite tights and which hugged his strong legs and sculpted ass. He wore shoes instead of boots as this was a formal occasion and was not comfortable in them His sword was belted at his waist and a pair of fine leather gloves were tucked beside it.

Iestyn stood by the room's lone window as he waited to be summoned. His whole life had led him here and he was unsure but excited about what would happen next.
