It starts innocently enough.

Clay is a 20 year old college swimmer home for the summer. His Mom happens to be a florist who does a lot of weddings. One day, a Mother of the groom mentions how sad it is that her daughter has no date for the upcoming wedding. Clay's Mom suggests Clay. Sop the first time he is a volunteer. Looks great, smells nice, well behaved. soon Mom is flooded with requests that clay be a wedding date- and offers of money as every family in town seems to compete for his services on the limited dates available.

Inevitably, one of the college girls who can't get a date figures that since her parents paid Clay a handsome sum for the evening, she deserves more than a few dances and a walk to the door at the end of the evening...

Wedding date? Hmmm. I've always thought of weddings as pick-up opportunities. Sort of like family reunions, but with more strangers.

Especially bridesmaids. They are easy pickings. For one thing, they know their buddy (the bride) is getting laid that night, and it makes them jealous. For another, they can't wait to get out of that ugly dress.......

I thought it was jealousy of the wedding itself.
