I posted a query about a Prom Night Chain Story--and the responses I got indicated that folk would be more interested in a Wedding.
I like this, too! It gets rid of the one problem the Prom Night story had--that of needing to explain that all participants are 18 years minimum. It keeps things from the Prom that folk might like--the tension of a big day, getting dressed up, dancing, limos, etc. AND adds in some extras that are quite a bit of fun. An open bar, for example, the buffet, dealing with obnoxious relatives, etc.
So, once again, we'll start with THE IDEA:
*The Idea would be to write a story that occurs before, during, or just after a middling-sized wedding in "anytown" U.S.A. (Though writers could, of course, mention events that happened at the bachelor/bachelorette party the night before). Details would be worked out (like who is getting married) but it would be an innocuous, typical, Western Civilization kind of wedding (white dress, tuxes, bridesmaids, ushers, dinner, dancing, throwing the bouquet)--not any particular ethnicity or religion.*
ALL STORIES WOULD OCCUR AT THIS PARTICULAR WEDDING
Does this idea get the creative juices flowing? Would you be interested? If I get enough interested responses, I'll flesh it out....
