The Warrior's Academy (OOC)

Learn to fight, to protect, to have honor...

Some choose to follow the teachings they receive in the Academy to the letter. Others take their own paths and the knowledge of battle they have earned to plan a wake of destruction in their later years... But even the strongest of fighters have to begin somewhere.

The academy is found in ancient Greece, outside Athens. Students of all kinds have been attending for decades- both human and crossbreeds. Under the guidance of their teachers, they learn the ways of the warrior; as well as learning about themselves... Their hearts, their minds, and of course, sex.

[This RP is loosely based off the Hercules and Xena shows... Basically stealing their setting and character format.]

Characters can be human or mythical.. Just be sure to give me a bio on them. We'd need students, teachers, and whatever else you might think of. Again, just give me a bio to approve first!

Bio: Quinn has always had an angry side. Her father died when she was very young, her mother remarrying to a man with great wealth- but also a great temper. His actions towards her left her bitter and very untrusting of most men. She has a strong desire to prove that she's as strong as any man- even if it means putting herself at risk. She's very headstrong, letting her pride rule her more than her mind half the time. Because of this, she was seen as a miscreant in her village, causing fights regularly with some of the young men and finally being sent to the academy by her stepfather in attempt to reign in her anger... as well as giving her stepfather a chance to get the young woman out of his life for awhile.

Bio: Cror is the son of a Poseidon and his mother the god taking the guise of a shipwrecked sailor. For this Cror has always loved the sea finding he had a strange affinity to the deep blue. At 15 he began to explore the seas on a trading vessel by 20 he sought to learn the truth of his heritage. The academy proved an invaluable chance to meet others of his kind that he might confide in. A people person his true nature only revealed when he gets wet.

Name: Charillos Archidomos
Age: 100 (looks 35)
Race: Human mostly
Appearance: Like Leonidas from 300 but without the beard.
Occupation: Unarmed combat instructor at the Warrior Academy

Charillos has been instructor of unarmed combat, the pankration style of martial combat, for the past ten years. Before this time he was a soul afflicted with wanderlust, floating from one battle to the next. He began his life as the son of a poor herder, conscripted into one of the numerous war against the other city states. He was struck down on a battlefield in the middle of winter, descending to the underworld along with a line of other soldiers.

But Charillos was not prepared to die and he tricked Hades into banishing his godly powers long enough to be soundly defeated in a wrestling match and escaped to the surface. Hades vowed revenge on him, but Nike was impressed with his triumph and granted him a long life that he would not have to face Hades again.

He spent many years wandering, perfecting his craft and has now found himself settled in at the academy, training new warriors to use their body as a weapon.
