"The War Council" Casting Call (open)
Here's the story.
Fictional kingdom of Ilia is at the brink of war.
King William IV (played by myself) has called a War Council to his capital, The Council will consist of his most trusted Miltary Leader, several Captains, and various powerful nobles.
Ilia is a relatively new kingdom, carved from the older kingdome of Arkon by one of Williams ancestors.
Arkon has always wanted to reclaim the lands stolen from them, and as such, the kingdoms have been in a state of nearly constant war, with a few periods of peace thrown in. As such, most of the populace has served with the military in some capacity of other.
The last campaign was ten years previous, and ended with the annexation of several large chunks of land along the borders by Ilia, and the death of Arkon's King.
Some background on the castle: The King is a widower, and has a son, He also has a rather extensive harem (although all is not what it seems there).
You can play any of the miltary men (man or woman), the nobility (again, man or woman), the harem girls (hell, even a harem guy. I'm sure the King would keep one around for his female visitors), or various servants working in the castle.
One more thing, since this is an open thread, I'd appreciate it if you made an attempt to stay with it. Otherwise, I reserve the right to have your character killed off for some reason.
King William IV
40 years old
Black hair, graying at the temples.
Muscular build
Green eyes.
6'2"
William is a war King. He fights on the battlefield for his kingdom, and has the scars to prove it. But lately he is being advised against it.
The neighboring kingdom of Arkon has been raiding the borders in recent weeks, and the landowners have asked the King to intercede. He has agreed, and called this War Council.
Rules
If you're writing a scene with another writer, work things out in PM beforehand so there is no conflict (everyone pretty much knows where they want their character to go, and writing yourself into one of their scenes without asking them and the other person their currently with only irritates things), and no leaving anyone standing alone in scene so you can get the better of them (example: I slapped him in the face, looked at him threateningly and walked out).
One-strike policy on 'god mode' crap. You go crazy with the 'I'm the best at everything' garbage, and you're out. Period.
As I've said, I reserve the right to kill your character if you break the rules.
Otherwise, have fun.
