The Vitamin String Quartet

Has anyone else ever listened to them? They do covers of popular work from banks like Nickleback, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Led Zeppelin. They do really good work but I never realized how awesome they were until I found their cover for Through the Fire and Flames as made famous by Dragonforce.

Not sure how many power metal fans are on here, but this is the actual song here. It has some insanely fast guitar playing.

This is the Quartet's version from their tribute album to Guitar Hero.

Makes perfect sense to me. Classical musicians need to make a living, too, and if they can ek out a few shekels doing this when the L. A. Phil isn't at either the Disney center or the Bowl, good for them. Maybe they can encourage a few budding violinists to stick with their instruments instead of switching to electric guitar.
