The cold air stung the trail of wetness that fresh tears had left on her face as Harmony walked out of the Garnier house. Her father had just gone off into one of his rants about the rumors of his daughter being involved with a De'LaFontane. " This is absurd. My daughter would not get within 10 feet of that De'LaFontane boy. She would never let her family down." That was one of her fathers favorite lines to say around her when he had his violent rants. Harmony figured her father said that because her face would become guilt stricken and he could tell that the rumors were true. Unfortunately, Harmony had a great poker face when it came to her father. She had been lying to her family for so long. But holding her love for Marcus inside of her was becoming harder and harder as the days dragged on. The crisp air of the city felt like heaven in her lungs and she attempted to hide the fact that something was digging at the core of her. Harmony’ silk dress brushed the ground quietly. Her dress was a dark purple color that clung to every curve of her feminine body. The top of the dress was fitted so it showed it an ample amount of cleavage, more cleavage than normal towns woman were willing to show. Yet, she walked with dignity and respect
A small smile came to her lips as she headed for the alleyway where she was to meet to her lover. Markus and Harmony met every other day in various alleyways then they would make their way to a hiding place for the night. She knew them meeting like this was incredibly dangerous but she felt like she was going to die if she did not see him as much as possible. She hoped Markus was unharmed by his family since a new rumor had started to circulate around Paris. She knew that if her family had gotten wind of it then his had gotten word of it as well. Harmony prayed and hoped the day when they could be together without worries would sooner than later for their safety. She turned the corner and headed further from the Garnier home and closer to De'LaFontane territory.
