I hope the US of A can find its way back to a happy place, don’t you?

All this negativity over the past 20 years since 9/11 has been sad to see.

Such a cool country, it’s sad to see it struggling with something as simple as being nice to each other and having a common purpose.

Cheer up, Americans!

You think so?
I see it as their way of channeling their spirit of adventure.

Give me an American or an immigrant any day,
as opposed to the repressed, PC, concrete unimaginative British, Australian and NZ Anglo-saxon cunts I've been living amongst.

I was inspired by the findings of a Relationship Study I read about the other day.

It basically says that people who appreciate and feel appreciated have better relationships, and that individual differences fade in comparison to the importance of how you feel about your relationships.

That is, you can choose how you feel about most anything and if you choose to feel happy, you will probably be happy.

Or to quote that old sitcom line; "if it makes you happy to be happy, be happy".

Americans, especially the ones on this Board, seem mostly unhappy.

I feel sorry for them, but also derive a perverse satisfaction in being so much happier than them, so they do serve a useful purpose.

I started my answers from a different vantage point:
xenophobia.
Which I'm seeing increasingly exposed (from covert to overt) in the UK, Nz and Australia since Brexit, the Brent Tarrant shootings and covid.

It's far uglier and worse over here than it will ever be in the States or Canada.
Even 'Whites' like me are now being viewed with resentment.
Unfortunately, the assholes trump the many kind, altruistic locals.

But yes, you're right, even if you're trolling:;):):D

This IS an angry, unhappy board.
And it was long before covid and other disasters happened.

The types of personalities that the GB selects?
Or other reasons? You mentioned 9/11.

Hard to be nice to and find a common purpose with those who want to destroy your way of life, nation and end any chance of prosperity you might have had. ;)

The best revenge is living well.

Just be happy and the negativity, like the virus, will disappear.

It is, and it enrages the wealth envy leftist to no end and thus their desire to end my living well.

Thus the conflict.

They won't disappear just because I ignore them. ;)

You think that people are envious of you and your lifestyle? Pardon me while I ROFL.

If they aren't then why do the insist the government put an end to it and redistribute my resources for the sake of equity??

Why do they demonize me for the material wealth I have and they lack??

Why do they expend their life efforts into crying about how unfair it is I have more than they do??

;)

^^^^^Seriously delusional as well as paranoid. Can’t you just picture him in his bunker protecting his “wealth” (such as it is) with one of his big dick substitutes? What a pitiful existence.

Just move to a better neighborhood.

I love where I live; no crime, no visibly poor or dirty people, lots of trees and water, and everything's within a few minutes of my house, including a very good craft brewpub with a big outdoor patio.

Zero Covid cases and everyone wears a mask!

Why do you exaggerate so, and lie like you do?

What exaggerations and lies exactly???

^^ seriously in denial of reality...thus he has nothing but ad hom to support this steaming pile of bullshit.

^^ the ad hom spoken of, because he can't actually put an argument up against the things I've said.

Never has, never will. :D

If I'm delusional then go ahead and tell us what you think the (D)'s are after??

What exactly are their political goals, values and ideals and how do they plan on achieving them??

Please tell me how I'm wrong.

Just move to a better neighborhood.

My neighborhood isn't the problem.

The people in other neighborhoods mad about my neighborhood being nicer than theirs entitles them to some of mine, is the problem.

If they kept to their own bidnizz.....worried about how to better their neighborhood instead of what they can take from mine....there would be no complaints from me.

Me too.

International airport is a bit of a drive but it's the price I pay to have all the other nice things.

I don’t think that Americans have the corner on this issue. I think that happiness overall has declined over the last several decades world wide... personally I think that the shift became more obvious in the late 80’s early 90’s. Sadly, as time passed members of the human race became more self centered, less selfless, and consumed with a holier than thou attitude. Humans have quite frankly stopped being kind, to themselves and to each other.

Personally, I don’t hold out much hope of it ever improving much... I don’t know what the universal answer is... the closest thing I can come up with is that every single human should be showering others with kindness. Regardless of age, gender, race, sexual orientation, etc. EVERYONE is deserving of love & kindness and it should be given freely. There are days I struggle with this.. no one is perfect.. but everyone should strive to be a better kinder human.

It’s just as easy to believe in a better future than a poorer one!

Too many fuckin' people.

Everyone trying to control each other, and those capable of just living and letting live? In the rather small minority unfortunately.

Humanity needs more space, we need to get the fuck off this rock.

On the upside, we might do it.
