Do you get the feeling that you are watching one of Trump!'s TV reality shows, when you see Trump! speaking in public ? Do you get a sense of unreality, when you read events and quotes related to Trump! ?

Comments on Trump! from observers-
Trump!'s meltdowns
Trump!'s tendency to be tone deaf
about how his remarks resonate
with the topic he chooses to
address.

(gsgs comment-
I refused to watch Donald Trump on TV.
I found him repulsive.
I have been noticing him in the media,
for an awfully long time.
Who could fail to notice his self promotion ?)

Frog marching Jorge Ramos out of conference.
One word, and one gesture from Trump!
was all it took, for Trump! to be rid of Ramos.
Washington Post journalist captioned photo
as security guards marching Ramos out.
I saw the video of a guard grabbing Ramos,
and one guard following.

Trump! later claims it was the security guards who were at fault, and that they were not his guards, but the hotel's guards. (On the video clip) Trump
" denied having ordered him ejected from the conference."

Trump! denies he was the one who had him removed.
Yes, it is true that Trump himself, did not bodily remove Ramos.

"Trump then said that Ramos used the term “illegal immigrants.” When the journalist denied using the words, Trump said, “Well you should use it. That’s what they are, ‘illegal immigrants.'”

The bizzare quality of Trump!'s greeting to Ramos, when Ramos was allowed to re-read enter the conference. As if Trump! and Ramos had not had a combative exchange, as if Ramos had not been forcibly removed.

Trump! falsely attributing a phrase to Ramos

Trump! later claiming that Ramos was screaming, when Ramos was shouting out questions and comments, when Trump! made a point of not calling on him.

Trump! publishes Ramos cell phone number on Instagram.
(If that is not rude and inconsiderate, what is ?)

Facts

Do we have the name and a picture of the man who bullied Ramos with these words ?
"You were very rude. It's not about you. Get out of my country."

Fact- Ramos is an American! (born near Mexico City)

Trump! was part of the "birther movement.

Presidential hopeful Donald Trump has refused to release his long-form birth certificate and passport records, despite demanding the same from Barack Obama during the 2012 election.

Trump! said he would donate $5m to a charity of Obama’s choosing if the president released his college records and applications and passport applications and records.

If Trump were to win the presidency in November 2016, without publishing the documentation, then he would by his own definition join Obama as being “the least transparent president in the history of this country”.

Michael Cohen, executive vice-president at the Trump Organization and special counsel to Trump, accused the Guardian of “trying to be funny” and said the request for documentation was “stupid” given Trump’s then lack of political aspirations.

“What’s your point?” Cohen said. “Mr Trump’s not the president of the United States and he’s not running for the presidency.”

Sarah Palin will be interviewing Donald Trump at 10 p.m. Eastern on her brand new show, On Point, which started Monday and airs on the One America News network.

*eyeball, headshake, shudder*

*watches video clip*

An infomercial!

One America News Network’s "On Point with Sarah Palin."

All the talking points and dog whistles.

Plenty of air, not much substance.
Video cotton candy, for Trump! fans,
for Sarah Palin fans.

Trump! Bombast about bibles ?

Hillary Clinton does the work. She does not pretend to build castles in the air.

Trump! seeks to gain, without any substance behind his proclamations.

How dare anyone mention that the pretender is not wearing what he does not have ?

http://www.cnn.com/2015/05/27/politics/hillary-clinton-2016-election-faith/

Sarah Palin mentions James Carville, who to her mind is famous for having said, “it’s the economy, silly." *

Throwing a little shade, Sarah ?

Lipstick on a reptile ?

Forget about getting any accurate facts or figures.
There will not be a journalist that has any integrity,
present. It's a private party.

You cannot eat Potemkin cakes.
The Potemkin cakes are made of
plastic support structures
and plaster of Paris.
They look quite convincing,
from a distance.

Why do people buy the Potemkin candidate ?

"Ice cream castles, in the air," Joni Mitchell's song.
These illusions of castles are formed of sugar
(chemically transformed corn syrup ?) are
sickly sweet copies of Macy's Parade balloons,
that will wash away with a rainstorm.
Bubble gum for the mind, with the flavor that
disgusts anyone, who has a motive to connect the
dots.

New ballet ? Dance of the billionaires!

*1992, campaign strategist James Carville coined a slight variation of the phrase “it’s the economy, stupid.” At that time, Carville was attempting to emphasize the importance of the struggling economy in then-candidate Bill Clinton’s 1992 presidential campaign. Although originally intended for an internal audience of campaign workers, the phrase became a de facto slogan for the entire campaign.

At Donald Trump's ceremonial loyalty-oath signing on Thursday, a group of protesters showed up holding a big blue banner that read "Trump: Make America Racist Again."

(Many protesters carried posters protesting Trump! Many posters were pulled out of the hands of protesters by security guards. Some protesters were wearing Klux Klux Klan costumes. The protest was located on the sidewalk at
Trump Plaza.)

A Trump security guard took offense at this sign of insolence and ripped the banner away from them. One of the protesters then chased the guard and grabbed him, at which point the guard turned around and clocked the guy.

(In front of a large crowd of reporters.)

The banner disappeared into Trump Tower, never to be seen again.

motherjones.com

(the video) shows the guard, identified by the Daily Caller as Trump's director of security Keith Schiller, grabbing a large blue sign that reads "Trump: Make America Racist Again" from several protesters. One of the protesters, identified by NY1 as Efraín Galicia, proceeds to run after Schiller and grab him from behind near the entrance to the building. Schiller then spins around and hits Galicia in the face with his right hand.

Galicia stumbles back and a second security guard grabs onto him, appearing, as the News points out, to briefly put him in a chokehold.

So, if someone's property offends you, you are allowed to mug that person and take that property away from them ? That person is not allowed to try to get their property back, because Finder's Keepers ?

So much, for free speech on public property.

A Trump! gem from 1991

Trump’s blithe moral contempt has many targets. Women? He once told Esquire, “You know, it doesn’t really matter what [the media] write as long as you’ve got a young and beautiful piece of ass.”

Chocolate candy in the swimming pool, or human excrement ?

The young woman in question must have a youthful derrière?

Or, the young woman in question has been reduced to a body part ?

Sensible people take precautions and protect their eyes when a solar eclipse is happening.

I protected sensibilities and my sanity, and viewed the second GOP "debate," through other's perceptions.

What provoked jeers, guffaws of increduality, snorts of disgust, howls of offended intellect, is what I was spared from.

It was the Trump! Show.

From what I can hear and read, the biggest bully, the loudest mouth, and the most empty head of all, is "winning."

It was the Trump! Show. No one dared to challenge the curr who growls in the manger. They tucked their tails and dropped their heads. The bitch barked prettily but sadly, it was all lies.

Was there a moment, when there was an initial flash of blinding and searing awfulness ?

Yep, you didn't watch the second debate. It wasn't the Trump show at all. He was effectively skewered from time to time and was totally silent for 37-minutes of it when they were actually talking about substance.

Best thing on TV in years.....come on Don, get the nomination

That's a tad polite don't you think? We have the break down of minutes speaking. Despite 37 minutes of near silence he still had the most speaking time of any candidate.

He was undoubtedly the center of attention if perhaps not perfect.

The commentators pretty much universally called it the Carly F. show, not the Trump show. Having watched it, I agree with them--and I'm not saying I'm a Carly F. supporter. Trumps part of the show was pretty much spent in looking and sounding stupid and taking bullets.

I don't even think she was in the top three as far as total air time.

Now the early polls seem to suggest she came out on top and between her and Trump I'd prefer her. Though honestly my gut tells me to wait until the official polls on the debate hit. She'll almost definitely gain on him in popularity mostly because if he goes too much higher the game is over. I can't imagine many of the candidates sticking around if Trump manages to breach 40% and Carly still has a ways to go to hit double so that should work for her.

What does air time have to do with it? Ben Carson got air time by talking slowly; not that much substance, though. Carly F. jam packed every second of air time she had. If they did transcripts, I bet hers would be twice as thick as anyone else's.

I think Trump could hit 50 percent without the game being over or his game. I'm sure the party is going to find a way to dump him much before the finish line. (Don't think they'll give it to Carly F. either.)

Generally speaking the person with the most air time is who the show is about. Granted someone could make a strong argument that Godzilla 2014 should be titled "Boring guy nobody cares about" because Godzilla gets a grand total of 23 minutes or something but otherwise yeah.

I'm not going to even venture to see if she. . .managed to say twice as many words as anybody else. She may have said twice as many things worthy of listening to but no where near twice as many things. C'mon, wander back to this scary place called reality.

How would they dump him at that point? It's hard to conceive of how they do it now but if the man passes the 50% mark the only way you could be rid of him would be to catch him eating live babies while stomping poodles to make his wine. Nothing else the man could do, up to and including personally building a bomb for Iran and testing it on the moon would be enough to get rid of someone at that point.

Now I'm with you, I think they will find away, they will stop him before he reaches that point but if he does reach it there's nothing anybody can do other than cry about it and hope he can beat Hillary (or universe willing Sanders.)

Trump! fed a zombie army of "birther" crazies.
He attention whored for some publicity for the Trump!
brand by pushing the birther question with his own
money.

66% of Trump’s supporters believe that Obama is a Muslim to just 12% that grant he’s a Christian. 61% think Obama was not born in the United States to only 21% who accept that he was.

Trump fed the media, so that he could be heard and seen.
What Trump! fed the media, is the idea that the issue was real.
Trump feels disdain and contempt for fool that chooses to
believe that what Trump! was selling. What Trump! sold
was a ruse and a false meme to be used as a distraction
and a weapon against a rival alliance. (Democrats)
It was a joke. Sadly, the fools never caught on.

How does Trump! respond to one member of his zombie army?
With the most bland, meaningless, empty mush of phrases, possible.

(Why would Trump! alienate his army of "birther" zombies, by speaking up in defense of President Obama ?)

" A lot of people are saying that,..."

(Saying what, exactly, Trump! ? )

"...and you know, a lot of people are saying bad things are happening out there. We’re going to be looking at that and plenty of other things."

http://www.npr.org/sections/itsallp...nothing-as-questioner-alleges-obama-is-muslim

Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski told the Washington Post. "The media wants to make this issue about Obama."

But does Trump — who led the birther crusade questioning whether Obama was really born in the U.S. by demanding his birth certificate — believe Obama is a Muslim?

"I don't speak for Mr. Trump," Lewandowski said.

The Republican Party can run anyone they want, based on any criteria they want to set--here in Virginia, they recently flipped from "it will be a convention" for a senatorial post to "a primary" the moment they feared the Tea Party had the convention votes for their candidate. They are not going to run Trump for president. They are going to get him dumped even if they have to manufacture the circumstances (which won't be hard to do; he shot himself in the foot again yesterday). This, I think is the reality of this.

Is that even legal anymore? I know it came up for a moment in the 2012 elections that their might be a brokered convention. That said can you imagine the (well deserved) Trump is the clear lead and decide to dump him?

I hope he shot himself in the head. But when 43% of Republicans still believe Obama's a Muslim (and I can only asume some of that 57% don't know or care) that his "gaff" yesterday won't hurt him and quite possibly wasn't a gaff.

I have to repeat. I agree with you. Somehow, someway the adults will step up and put the crazy person away. I just think realistically that there is a point at which he could become invincible to anything realistic.

I've seen nothing happen that changed that getting a party candidate was completely up to the party.

Neither have I. I admit I assumed that the primaries did/do hold official legal weight. I could be wrong I know that there was a time when the electoral college didn't have to go along with the majority vote but the one time they didn't the rules got changed right quick.

I cede that I have never looked into that and made an assumption.

I think it boils down to what you have to do to be put on the ballot. After that it becomes what do you have to do to run a write in campaign.

Still looking up the specifics on delegate

But here's a quick read and long story short in before 1900 the parties did

Okay if I understand properly it goes a little something like this. First since the Constitution sets no laws in stone here it's different for Republicans than it is for Democrats. . .because seriously we're too fucking stupid as a country to even have one set of rules.

However the results of the primaries are public so even in the cases where the delegates aren't legally required to do what the majority votes (which seems possible, I haven't tracked down the Republican rules yet and they do vary on a state by state basis anyway) I wouldn't dare go back to my house after voting for anybody but who the majority did because I like myself better when I'm not on fire.

Now granted polls=/=primaries so it's possible for anybody to get any number in the polls and not do as well in the primaries or even possibly for things to change as people start dropping out after a few bad showings to skew everything down the line. (A pretty damn good reason to have them all on one day.)

As for getting on the ballot I'm still not clear on that but HOLY FUCK A LOT OF PEOPLE SIGNED UP!! There's a Commie running! He doesn't even have a picture though. Sorry I'm occasionally easily distracted by shiny, spiny or sparkly things.

I'll look up getting on the ballot later.

Getting on the ballot varies from state to state as well.

If you're really interested I could send you the specifics on delegates for the Democratic Party. The selectionprocess starts on April 17th at the county level, then goes from there all the way to voting.
