Like him, hate him it does not matter for this game! Tonight, during the debate, I challenge any of you to down a shot ever time one of the eight minor contestants mention his name….let’s see how far you can go before giving up or passing out . In the wake of his fourth indictment, former President Donald Trump is approaching a 50-point lead over his Republican rivals, outpolling his nearest competitor by more than a five-to-one margin.

In the latest survey from Victory Insights, Trump claimed the support of 61% of likely voters, compared to 12% who backed Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis. Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie took 6% support, compared to 4% each for tech mogul Vivek Ramaswamy and former Vice President Mike Pence. Former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley took 2%, compared to 1% each for South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott and businessman Perry Johnson.

Conducted Aug. 15-17, the survey questioned 825 likely voters and has a margin of error of +/- 3.5%. Notably, the survey period entirely falls after Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis on Monday announced charges against Trump over his efforts to challenge the 2020 presidential election in the Peach State.

The survey appears to rank among the first post-indictment polls and seems to signal a surge in support for Trump, as his current average polling the RealClearPolitics metric shows him with a lower, 54.7% figure and does not include any surveys that entirely follow the indictments.

The only part of debates I watch are the giant gaffe's the next morning.

This was not about what he is doing…it’s more about how much people are talking about him…good or bad

We know what the Democrats have said and how low they've stooped. We know as well that lesser candidates running for the same office will bring out their knives and engage in some localized internecine warfare. Trump knows that the GOP is great at shooting itself in the foot and backstabbing opponents so he's decided to wait and see who survives the knife fight and take on the top one of two winners later in the game.
