The true nature of this BB, as I see it.

This place is about people and their opinions about all kinds of topics, sexuality included. When I first came here, it was for the sole purpose of exploring sexual topics and how I related to them. I spent time exploring efforts to write on the SRP board only to learn that I felt that I was betraying my relationship with my wife. I have looked at so many female genitalia that I feel like a gynecologist. I have read so many sex related stories that all of them have began to run together. So, what keeps me here?? Simply put, it's the freedom to discuss and read about topics that speak to the human condition.

The huge diversity of this BB and the democratic manner in which it is run is what gives this site it's strength. (My hat is off to Laurel and Manu for keeping it that way). The General BB discusses topics so mixed that labelling this place a porn site is truly misleading. Like life, there's a bit of sex and a lot of conversation. The sex is good, but I really like the conversation. It must be my age.

I don't think it's an age thing, it's maybe a maturity thing. I *think* I'm a lot younger than you (I'm 28) and I love the board for all those things.

I didn't come here looking for sex, that's why I left lit chat the cyber experience had run it's course....I looked around and found this board, I also found where some of the fun people from chat had gone....

I have since had the pleasure of interacting with some incredible people, some I know a little better than others, but all have given me something to take away from here....

A few have given things I wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole....

i would like to add that theres people here that i get on better with then others ... but one of the things i find most interesting is chatting and mixing with the people that perhaps i dont get on so well with ... people that i probably wouldnt become friends with in real life ... i can chat to on here and have interesting conversations i maybe never would in real life with those people ... i find that very refreshing and is why i like the mix of people here so much ... im glad i dont get on with everyone equally and im glad not everyone here is the same

I feel about my partner and our relationship much like you feel about Mrs. Blue.

I was at SRP for a short time, too. I worked exclusively with one writing partner because we are both aspiring writers. I didn't feel comfortable with the nature of the forum either so I no longer participate.

Sex is great. Happy to talk about it. I find the broader topic of sexuality even more engaging, but there's only so much to talk about it.

I'm with you. I value most the diversity of topics and personalities here. I am equally comfortable joinging discussions that interest me and passing others where I don't have an opinion.

I don't think it's age either, Blue. However, according to my eldest, I am ancient. Pass the Geritol and the New Yorker. I appreciate your sensibilities.

When I think of everything I have learned from this BB and what I have learned from chat ... it makes me wonder why I bother with chat. I have found a lot of funny, insightful, wise, preverse, kind, caring, mean, insulting, intelligent, silly people who post here. And I am glad they let their voices be heard.

I love the fact that I can talk about any topic from Apple computers to a song by Zepplin. ( Yes that was a way to go from A-Z easily. )

This is one of the top adult sites on the net and should be recognized as such. Since when does adult ONLY pertain to sex ? I like the fact that we can talk about subjects adults have a mature insight on. ( Well, ok we can get silly sometimes..... )

All the time I reckon. But it is the mature(r) fun and discussion that I like about this place. The truly international element to this board is great too. Because you're posting, you can communicate with people across the whole globe in a way you really couldn't do with chat.

I have got stuck on mainly political postings recently (much risk of getting shoved into the same category as PP man). That's jsut how it is at the moment. Perhaps next week I'll be Mr Flirt. And I can do it all here and no one will stop me and say 'this is just a _______ site.' That is the very best of Lit.
