I've decided to not shave down there for a little while...
I am wondering how people deal with the transition stage? I always have kept it clean and never went more than 3 days with out shaving. I'm only 2 days in but I'm nervous.

Can you recommend anything to help it stay soft? I don't want a pricker bush...

I dont know what will help it stay soft. I do know from my own experiences tha it is all a whole lot softer after it gets past the in between stage. It'll all feel a bit prickly for a bit, but once there is more hair, it'll feel a whole lot softer than before.

how long do you suppose it will take? I haven't grown it out in a long time... I can't even remember the last time there was more than a 1/8 of an inch...

I'd say that's probably different for each person. The longest I've gone without shaving in awhile has been 7 weeks. It was all rather soft then. When I did go to shave again, I needed to trim first so it wouldnt take me forever. Another thing, the hiar that grew in was no where near being curly either when it was a long time ago before I started to shave.

I wouldnt use my time scale as an indicator though. My hair (at least on my head) has been known to grow incredibly quick. I normally only go for 1 haircut a year, if that, and they cut at least 8 inches every year where I'm getting it cut to the same length every time.

I wouldn't use the leave in, it might mess up the ecosystem down there.
