Melody was in prison for a year because she had belonged to a group that was convicted of grand larcny. Which she honestly had no idea they were planning it, and because no one believed her story she was tossed in prison. She had been there three months already and had no friends what so ever, she kept her head down and didn't talk to anyone. She would read a lot and when she was at work she would work alot. She was a mystery but she kept to herself because she didn't want to piss anyone off. She use to watch the tv show Lockup and didn't know how much of that was real and how much was bullshit. So instead of seeing for herself she kept to herself. Only sound that came out of her mouth was when she sang or hummed, she had been in her bunk sick for a couple days, so she read the whole time she was free to lay around. She could hear the rain outside and the sound to her was very lovely, but it was then she heard something.
She heard a woman yelling for help while inmates were kicking the shit out of her, she got up quickly and ran to see what the hell was going on, her eyes narrowed when one of the girls stopped kicking her and looked right at her. "Get out!" she was told but right before she was about to leave she saw the way the woman looked at her, her eyes begging for help since no one was giving a damn about what was going on. She felt so angry it wasn't funny and she almost growled, before anyone knew it the woman who got up in her face, she punched right in the face causing her to fall to the ground, she was no man of course but she did know how to fight, so she began to fight off the other woman, using her skills since she was a black belt and didn't take shit from anyone. She did get hit a few times, her lip was cut and same with her eye, but she managed to get them running away.
Melody panted heavily, blood on her fist she didn't feel the pain at first, but when she turned looking qat the woman she smiled at her. She noticed she was all cut up so she grabbed tissue from her pocket and placed it on the wound that was the worst. She smile down at her and for the first time someone heard her speak. "I'm sorry this happened, this place is full of animals, your name is brandy right ive heard your great with hair" She tried to make her smile to show she wasn't going to hurt her.
