I recently read an article about a study that was done on males about how long it takes them to become erect again after climaxing. The study insists that it takes one minute for each year of age the male is. Example: If a male is 43 years old it would take 43 minutes for him to "recharge". What are your TRUTHFUL experiences regarding the "recharge" time?

If it is the ability to get an erection, then they are wrong - that hasn't changed for me as I have gotten older, except that with experience I believe I can actually get an erection faster. It only takes about ten minutes at most for me to get another erection if I let myself go soft - and I can stay hard after an orgasm if I am careful and I do not cease stimulation (either visually, mental or by touch).

As I mentioned in another thread a week or two ago, I and most males can keep an erection after a number of orgasms (I have had three, over a period of three hours, only losing my erection after the third because I was tired).

Now, if you mean the time period between orgasms - then after the first, 45 minutes to an hour sounds about right, but then it has always been that way for me. The third one is a little longer yet, then I have to rest for a while (my max is six in 10-12 hours).

But I don't really care about orgasms after the first two or three, and I enjoy the sex between the orgasms almost more than the orgasms themselves. Sex is a lot of fun, and the journey more fun than the destination, although the latter is a lot of fun too.

Well, hubby doesn't often get raring to go again the same night. However, it's more because climaxes give him headaches (he thinks its cause he holds his breath during sex), and so he pretty much just wants to sleep afterwards. I can recall times when he was still hard afterwards, and where he literally would have kept going to a second orgasam, except I get raw rather easily, and it gets uncomfortable when it takes a while.

In those instances, it would take probably 2 minutes the first time, then he would keep going for at least 10 more minutes before I told him NO NO! GET OFF OR GET OFF! (grins)

Well, the trick is not to let it get soft in the first place, which I think most men could do if they wanted to and were careful for about a minute after their orgasms. I think men are conditioned mentally to go soft, and women expect this.

I agree with all the people that say it depends on where their mind set is. Most of it comes down to how badly THEY want to go again, and what we women do to them to get their minds back into it. For the sake of science

I timed myself this morning. I don't usually masturbate twice in a row within the same hour, because it is not as enjoyable as sex with a partner. But this morning I was curious so I let myself lose my erection then timed how long it took me to get erect again while watching a video. It took 9 minutes. I am sure that with the help of a woman instead of a video I could easily cut that in half or better.

What's more, again in the furtherance of scientific knowledge, I pushed hard to see how fast I could climax. I don't usually do that as I like to take my time, but this time I worked hard at it and managed to orgasm in 15 minutes. Oh the sacrifices I make for science!
