It's amazing how quickly things change once you hit the #1 spot, isn't it? I had to have gotten a series of ones to take the nosedive I took. But, so what! If you love writing, and it gives you pleasure as well as the readers, and you know damn well that the honest people voted their true feelings, that's what counts! While there is a big discussion going on about poetry, no one is arguing your popularity. Clearly the stats bear out that you are favored.

If I were in the spotlight, I'd enjoy it, too. I have been there. It was great. What I wasn't prepared for was when I wanted to improve and branch out. I encountered the unexpected. My new peers were not impressed with novice writing. They were candid and unforgiving of lazy writing. It was quite humbling.

I encourage and support your efforts. Enjoy what you have here at Literotica. If you ever venture out, I hope what transpired on the other thread will better prepare you.

Hi daughter!

I know I've seen the other thread in regards to what's
been going on.......yes....I did read what you mentioned
on the other thread in regards to giving praise to those
who give kudos to me, and refuting (as you put it) to
those who criticize. I will try to keep in mind as you said,
to thank those even if they criticize. However, if
I have to throw in a rebuttal I will thank them for their
opinion regardless.
