"The Three Heads of Cerberus"

A post-apocalyptic adventure

Carl and Daniel Stevens couldn't have been more different people, despite being siblings. There were 16 years between them, to start. Carl had grown up the rough and tumble type, participating in a combined 26 seasons of football, rugby, and wrestling before joining the US Army's Special Forces and serving 5 combat tours over the next 18 years. Daniel had been a more cerebral type, participating in most of the academic clubs in high school before getting his Bachelors and Masters Degrees in the Environmental Sciences fields.

And yet, here they were today, survivors of the Cerberus Event, working together to create a bit of civilization in an otherwise chaotic, anarchy-plagued world. Well, working together might sometimes be a stretch. The brothers had different visions about how Civilization would be rebuilt, with Daniel believing heavily in the carrot and Carl in the stick. Each approach had served them well at different times, and often one or the other of the brothers had had to employ his sibling's favored concept to accomplish a goal.
