Here's my list of Three (not in order):

"All I Want for Christmas is You" - Vince Vance and the Valiants
"Holly Jolly Christmas" - Burl Ives
"White Christmas" - Bing Crosby

Honorable Mentions go to "All I Want for Christmas is You" by Mariah Carey, "The Twelve Days of Christmas" by the MacKenzie Brothers, and "Back Door Sants" by Clarence Carter.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
no more christmass music!!!!

ok, I'll give you "White Christmas" - Bing Crosby

only 'cause Bing rocks

Anything by Nat King Cole, Burl Ives, and Bing Crosby. Mariah sucks ass...sorry, I just can't stand that broad.

Want to borrow this CD I made yesterday, JB?

It has 21 different versions of "Carol of the Bells" on it! ;)

I can't listen to anything but her Christmas song and her first album (which was phenomenal!). Her Christmas song rocks, though! I think it's style more than her singing, though.

NNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooo

Father Christmas, Emerson Lake and Palmer.
Little Drummer Boy, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts
Dragula, Rob Zombie

Not in order of preference:

1. The Christmas Song by Dave Matthews Band

2. River by Joni Mitchell (people have argued with me that this isn’t a Christmas song, screw them.)

3. Last Christmas by George Michael

CHESTNUT"S ROASTING ..nat king cole
WE THREE KINGS.. maienhiem steamroller
FROSTY THE SNOW MAN..gene autry

I have too many favorites to list, but a couple come to mind:

'Zat you, Santa Claus by Satchmo and Christmas Can't Be Very Far Away by Amy Grant.

I don't like Mariah much (the only song I want to hear her sing is The Star Spangled Banner while her mouth is around my cock) but to do her justice, All I Want For Christmas Is You is one of her better efforts, probably because she sings the song mostly straight rather than as an excuse to show how many octaves she can hit.

And any Christmas song list without The Christmas Song by Nat King Cole is just plain wrong. :D

3 is too small a number

The Christmas Song by Nat King Cole
White Christmas by Bing Crosby
Merry Christmas Darling by Karen Carpenter (has to be as perfect a voice fit to as perfect a song as ever recorded)

Agreed. I don't think anyone else could sing that song as well as she did.

On a related note, the Carpenter's Christmas CD is one of my favorites, possibly because there always seems to be just a touch of sadness in her voice -- when she sings 'Little Altar Boy', it never fails to break me up.

"Angels We Have Heard On High"

Elvis' version of "Walking in a Winter Wonderland"

"Jingle Bell Rock"

Mariah Carey doesn't actually sing. She just squeals like a goddamn stuck pig.

Christmas In Hollis - Run DMC

I can't believe it took so long before this song was mentioned.

I would have named "Santa's Rap" by the Trecherous Three.

Well, we may see eye to eye on JSB, but this stuff makes me want to heave.

Sorry. I appreciate that you can listen to it and enjoy it though... that's something I'm utterly incapable of doing.

"The Little Drummer Boy" sung by Bing Crosby and David Bowie

"Christmas At Ground Zero" by Weird Al Yankovic

"Troika" from Prokofiev's Lt. Kije, which, while not technically Christmas music, always makes me think of it.

Get more eclectic than that, if you dare.
