Edward Cox, a pretty successful business man. Has a medium sized manufacturing plant. A little on the average side in most all aspects, other than his ability to make a good living. He was no billionaire, but he made a good middle six figures each year. When he met his beautiful , blonde, wife to be, Diamond he was already well established. Not quite "rich" but moving in that direction.
She was still in college, a junior at the State school. Ed was 29 at the time. 8 years her senior. They met at a symposium where he was lecturing on his business. They got to talking and went for drinks. Diamond was more interested in picking his brain than finding out what was in his pants.
But after a couple of cocktails, well you know what they say about co-ed's after two drinks And Diamond had quite the reputation he would find out later. When he finally got the opportunity to meet a few of her friends they all would tease, "You two are perfect together. Diamond really loves her Cox." I never could get her to elaborate on her past, though I had inquired on many an occasion, but I knew it was full of fun.
Well this led to that and we have now been married for 9 1/2 years. We have a 10 year old son Nathan. Yes the math doesn't quite work out. Lucky for me because Diamond is really out of my league. She did become the dutiful wife and has remained faithful to me for our whole marriage.
About the only thing we have ever fought about is where to send Nathan to school. I have always been a proponent of the public school system. Diamond insisted that we send him to an elite private school. We could afford it, but it did cause my usual 9 hour workdays to increase to 10-11 to make up for the tuition.
That seemed to diminish our time in the bedroom somewhat. Well that and running the kid around to little league, boy scouts and the like. What started out as 5-7 times a week when we married had dropped all the way down to once a week, with the occasional skipped week here and there.
The way he figured it, Nathan was in the fifth grade, 7 more years and he would be off to college. Diamond, his trophy wife, would only be 38 and himself 46. He could semi-retire early and they could rekindle there past routine.
-------------------------
Diamond had a message from her son's school when she came out of her book club and turned her phone back on.
{Mrs. Cox, this is principle Smithson from Prestige Elementary, I'm afraid we have a serious problem with Nathan. I need to see either you are your husband immediately. We will be holding Nathan in detention until one of you can get here to clear this up. It is of the utmost importance and could be a cause for expulsion. One of you will need to show up here in person immeaditly.}
