Bliss hid on the branch of the old tree, the only thing visible was the edge of her cloak, which was really tough to see unless you were really searching. Her form was hidden behind the trees many branches and leaves, along with a long, old, dark brown cloak that she wore when ever she was out. The hood was pulled up, covering her dark brown hair from view. Underneath the cloak she wore a dress, a leather brown belt wrapped around her slim waist, which was holding numerous weapons. She’d been standing here, hiding for also 4 hours until…

There! She could hear the loud hooves from the palace horses, galloping down the forest path, the sound of a carriage not far behind. Took long enough. She thought as she reached into her cloak, grabbing her silver dagger. She waited a moment, watching as four black horses, guiding the royal carriage a lot. Two more horses rode behind it, guarding the rear.

Bliss, quickly devised a plan in her head, deciding how she was going to take out, in what order, and how. She waited until the carriage had passed the tree she was hiding on before she made her move.

The young girl jumped from the branch, aimed at the rider closest to her. She landed on the back of the horse, right behind the rider, her legs straddling the animal, which gave a loud, frightened noise before standing back on it’s hind legs. The guard, made a move to reach for his knife, but before he could, Bliss already had her dagger to his throat. She made a quick jerk of her hand, making the sharp blade slice open his neck.

The horse fell forward again, back on all four as the guard fell off the side. Bliss turned her head to the guard and horse that rose behind her and raised her bloody dagger. Under the hood, she grinned, right before she threw the weapon. It flew across the air before burring itself into his chest. A second later he fell back off his horse.

Slowly, Bliss turned her gaze to the royal carriage.

Bryce Alistair, the king of Kairard, rode along the Eryn Vorn forest, his carriage heavly guarded by some of his best men. It was rumored that this forest was filled with thieves, robbers, and killers. One of the many reasons he made Queen, Victoria stay back at the palace.

He was just returning from the kingdom of Biemas, being there to sign the war treaty, something that should have been done years ago. They had talked about signing this treaty for years, but finally, it was done. Now all that was left was to bring his copy back to his land, so that everyone knew there was to be no war.

The ride through the woods was going pretty peacefully, no signs of any danger that he could tell… until…

Bryce heard the sound of horses crying out, and the hard thump of something hitting the ground out side. All around him there was the sound of clashing metal, of howls from his men.

“There! Don’t let him near the carriage! Behind yo- Stop there mur-”

The king felt his heart swell in fear as he listened to each of his men, their voices being cut off. The carriage came to a complete holt and the only sound that he could hear was that of his horses running away, there hooves moving father and farther away.

Slowly, the king rose from his seat and moved to the door, grabbing the handle before giving a forceful push. It opened wide and the king stood there, waiting for any signs of noise. When he didn’t hear any he stepped out, onto the hard dirt rode. “Who’s the-” Bryce stopped dead when he saw his men, all six laying on the ground, motionless, blood pouring around them.

“Hello, your Majesty.” He heard a feminine voice say. Bryce turned around to see someone sitting on the top of his carriage, legs crossed. His eyes ran over the cloak that covered the figure, blood staining most of it. Some fresh, most of it dried and old. Before the king could say anything, the figure jumped from the roof, down at him. He lifted his hands up, grabbing onto something before he felt a sting on his head, right before he passed out.

Bliss chuckled to herself as she walked through the woods, her hood down, letting the sunshine that passed through the trees, to shine down on her. She held the kings crown in her hands, flipping it over, looking over the gems. “This will be worth thousands on the black market.” She mumbled, her eyes set on the glowing gem that topped it.

After a moment, the young women placed the crown under her cloak, along with the treaty that was just signed by the two kings. Not that she wanted a war, all she really wanted though was the money. All she needed for now was the money. And these two things were enough to allow her to live without thieving for a good few years, maybe more. She thought back to when she attacked the king, before he blacked out, he had grabbed a piece of her dress, ripping it off. She wasn’t all that worried about it, but still, she had just stolen this dress and now it was messed up.

She stopped and looked up when she reached an old, abandoned looking cottage. She smiled slight. “Home sweet home.” She mumbled to herself as she walked up to the door.

King Bryce paced in front of his throne, a bandage on his head, a ripped piece of cloth from a women dress in his hand. The queen Victoria watching him, a worried expression on her face. In front of him kneeled one of his strongest, bravest knights. “My king, please sit down. You need to-”

“No!” He shouted interrupting the queen, his voice echoing off the walls. “I will not rest! Not when the kings only hope is gone!” He turned to her. “Victoria we needed that treaty! It was going to stop the war!” His voice was rough, irritated.

“Why don’t you just ask king to sign it again my lord. Explain to him what happened.” She said he voice calm.

“Explain? Explain to him that six, of my best men are dead and by who. One person! A women! One simple women who took them all out in less then 10 minutes!” He shook his head, stopping in front of her. “Do you think the king would want to join our two kingdoms when he realizes that? He’ll think we’re weak!” He snapped. “You know we need the hunter.”

The queen stayed silently, obviously agreeing with her. King Bryce turned to look down at his knight. “You, Knight, I am expecting you to find this hunter, bring him back to our kingdom, straight to me.” He ordered him. He knew this hunter was good at his job, he was hired by many, hundreds of times to either kill or find someone. Bring him to me do you understand?”

The knight stood up, his hand over his chest. “Yes, your Majesty!” He said before nodding his head. He turned away and quickly ran out of the room, his metal banging loudly. On his way to find the hunter that would bring this thief to her knees.

Never disturb a wolf

Name: Galen "The Hunter" Mirilit
Age: 25
Height: 6'
Weight: 180 lbs
Eyes: Brown Amber (Gold)
Hair: Silver-White

"Thats The Hunter." A raspy voice wheezed out.

"The Wolf himself?" Answered another.

Two old men were sitting at a table in The Green Cup Tavern, so called for the color of their mugs, pointing at another man in the very far back corner of the bar. The man in question sat with his back to the wall, staring into a barely touched mug of ale. He wore a dark cloak with a hood obscuring his face. The cloak changed color depending on how the light hit it, from dull grey to forest green to dark brown.

The cloaked man raised his head barely an inch as the two old busy bodies were talking about him. The light from a nearby candle that lit a table close by hit his eyes, and they glowed a dark amber color. The two old men stopped their jabbing and both paled, as it seemed as if they eyes were staring into their very souls.

After a moment of this, the eyes returned back to the mug before them, and the old men finally took a breath of air, not knowing they had held their breaths, stared at each other and made to get up. However, they paused half way up, as a man in shining silver armor, a red cloak with perfectly trimmed blond hair, and harden blue eyes enter the tavern. Behind him stood 6 armed royal guards.

Sir Geffory The Gallant, King Alistar's most trust knight, scanned the room slowly. As his eyes came upon the cloaked man in the back, he smirked. With a gesture of his right hand, the guards fanned out, surrounding the cloaked man. Sir Geffory followed behind, but stayed a good distance back, as he spoke. "Sir, you are ordered to appear before the King."

The cloaked man, The Hunter, did not move. He sat staring into his mug.

"Sir, did you not hear me?" Sir Geffory said again. "You are to come with us and present yourself to the King."

The Hunter went on ignoring him, only this time he moved his hands to his mug, the guards surrounding him all took a step, their hands reaching for their swords, but none were drawn. The Hunter however turned the mug around on the table, tilted his head as if studying it, and said in an even toned voice, "But I haven't finished my ale."

Sir Geffory was not a man to anger easily, but never in all his years of service did he feel so affronted. "Sir, you will come with us now, or we shall drag you there."

The Hunter slow raised his hands to his hood and pulled it back. A shaggy mane of silver-white hair could be seen, a week's worth of stubble cover his chin and upper lip. His amber eyes, betraying no emotion, locked on to the knight's. "I haven't finished my ale."

Sir Geffory could take no more. He stepped up to the table, "Sir, you will-" He was cut off when a mug of ale came crashing into his nose. In a blink of an eye, The Hunter rose quickly throwing jabs into two of the guards' throats before they could react. A third was just pulling his sword out as he was grabbed by his sword arm and head, and smashed into the table The Hunter had just been sitting at.

Not wasting a moment or motion, The Hunter took the sword from the now down guard, grabbed the edge of the table and flung it with his shoulder into a fourth guard into the wall.

The last two guards attempted to charge, but one of them found his feet taken out from under him as The Hunter used the broad side of his blade into his knees, tripping over into the last one, who found himself punched repeatedly in the face till he dropped as well.

All of this occurred in only a matter of seconds, Sir Geffory, whom had been rubbing his nose and whipping ale out of his face found a blade pointed right between his eyes.

"That was very good ale, a pity." The Hunter said as he looked down at Geffory.

Geffory only grunted, barely containing his rage. He stared at the man hold a blade to his face. From the entrance to the tavern, another half dozen guards came rushing in, their blades drawn, but as they saw their commander held at bay by the fearsome Hunter, they paused.

The Hunter, tilted his head slightly as he took this in and sighed. "Very well, lets go see the King." He dropped the sword, walked over to the corner where he was moments before and grabbed his bow. Turning around and pulling his hood back up, he said, "After you."

Sir Geffory seethed. He stared at the men that were only now getting up, moaning and wheezing, then back at the Hunter. Turning around he stormed out, the Hunter following right behind him.

"Ah, Sir Galen The Hunter." King Bryce Alistar proclaimed as he turned from his wife as Sir Geffory and the Hunter enter his court room. He had a smile on his face till he saw not only the look of anger on Sir Geffory, but the bruise on the bridge of his nose. "Are you alright Sir Geffory?"

For Sir Geffory's credit, he calmed himself as he knelt before his king, but his eyes were firmly locked on the man beside him. "I am fine your Majesty."

Bryce nodded his head as he eyes once more fell upon The Hunter, The Wolf, and a half dozen other names the man before him had been called over the years. He wore a cloak that looked simple, but the fact that the color of it seemed to shift depending on how the light hit it said other wise. Underneath the cloak, Bryce could see dull green and grey leather armor, tailored for just as much for protection as for ease of movement. Slung over his right shoulder, was the mighty bow, Iron Oak, so called for its incredible durability. On his left hip hung what looked like a simple sword, but if the Tales were to be believed, slew more then just man and beasts, but gods of the forests as well.

Finally he came to the hooded face. If this was any one else, the King would demand they pull back their hoods, but Bryce held back at that. As it was, he didn't need to worry, as Galen pulled back the hood himself.

Bryce had never before looked into the Hunter's eyes before, but now he knew the tales of the Hunter having no soul were true. Even though those amber eyes glowed from the light of pouring in from the windows, there was as if no life was in them. Then he heard him speak. His voice was even tempered, but carried no emotion what so ever.

"I do not remember being knighted by you." The Hunter said.

Galen pulled his face from where it was and stared daggers into the Hunter for his lack of respect to his King. Bryce on the other hand could care less at this moment.

"Knighted you have not... yet. But do me this boom and a Lord I shall make you."

The Hunter did not move an inch, but somehow Bryce got the impression he should explain what he wanted.

"I need you to track a thief for me." Bryce then began to pace back and forth. "Not only did this thief slew 6 of my best men, attacked me, she stole my crown and the peace treaty that had just been signed with the Kingdom Biemas. I need that treaty returned, the security of my lands demand it!"

Galen just stood there and said nothing. So Bryce went on. "Do this for me, and I shall reward you with riches, lands, and a title. Bring me this thief's head, and I might even make you a member of the royal family." Bryce smiled. Surely that might get something out of him.

Galen still just stood there staring at the king with those amber eyes. Bryce blinked a bit, but then went on. "You will take Sir Geffory with you to help you on your quest, to ensure this is done as quickly as possible."

This finally did get a reaction from Galen. He brought a fisted hand to his face and yawned. Bryce was starting to become unnerved. But as Galen finished his yawn, he spoke.

"I shall do this for you, I shall track down this thief, but only on three conditions."

"Name them!" Bryce almost shouted in excitement.

"First, I do this, I do it alone. No one will follow me, especially this one." Galen only tilted his hand an inch, but it was clear he meant Sir Geffory. "Second, I shall alone deem the fate of this thief, as it is my hunt, and my trophy with what to do with her head."

The King nodded his head. He had never heard of the Hunter letting one live that he had tracked, so he had no fear the thief would see another day. "Done... and the third." He asked worriedly.

Galen turned slowly as he then made to leave the room. "I need to use your privy."

OOC: Sorry, a bit long winded, but hopefully will set a tone.

King Bryce watched as the Hunter left the court room, a small sigh of relief left his mouth. He made sure only he could hear it, he didn't need anyone thinking he was weak, thinking they could easily over thrown him. One war with a different kingdom was bad enough, he didn't need to start fighting his own.

"So, do you think he'll be able to find the little thief?" Queen Victoria asked him, her voice was filled with curiousity and... a hint of something else. Something he hadn't heard in her voice in a while. Turning on his heel, the king looked upon his queen, taking her in.

Her body, her posture was off. She would usually sit all the way in her chair, her legs crossed, hands in her lap. Now, she was leaned forward, almost at the egde of her chair. Her hands, they were almost cling to the arms of the chair. His eyes traveled up her body. taking in her heaving bosoms, which rose and fell with each hard breath she seemed to take.

Finally, her eyes. The blue pools were filled with a hunger, a need that she once looked at him with, when they were both younger and in love. A few strands of her blonde hair, which she normally kept up so perfectly, hung loosely in her face. Maybe, my wife has taken my gesture to make him apart of the royal family a bit to literally. King Bryce thought to himself before he finally answered her question.

"Yes, my queen. I think he will." He went back to pacing as the queen sat back, her eyes loosing their shine once more. "Did you not look into his eyes Victoria. Did you not see a emotionless void?"

He went to his chair and took a seat. "Yes, he will find her and get the treaty back," with a sigh, the king looked down. "Let's just hope he gets it in time."

Bliss moved the heavy wooden floor board back into place, the crown and the treaty both safely statched underneath. She took up and pulled the rug back over the boards, as well as dragging a chair over to sit over it. That should make it last till morning The young girl thought as she stood up straight, brushing the dirt off her hands using the inside of her cloak.

Suddenly, she heard a deep growl from behind her. One that would make most brave men stop i fear, but Bliss simple turned around, a bright smile on her face. "Well, I've missed you boy." She said, speaking to the large black and gray wolf. His growls soon stopped and he sat on the floor.

"You've been gone for a few days. I was starting to thing something happened to you." Bliss noticed a few cuts and wounds on the beasts neck. "Been busy oh." She went on as she walked over to the far room of the cabin, the kitchen. As she walked she pulled off her cloak, revealing a long simple dark green dress, and folded it in her hands.

She placed the cloth on the counter, next to the dried deer meat she had laying there, a clear wrap surrounded it keeping it fresh and clean. "I've been busy too," Bliss grabbed the deer meat and sat down on the floor, next to her wolf. "I got a few things today. Things that will finally get us out of this house, take us some where better." Bliss held some meat out to the animal and he quickly took it from her fingers, barley missing them.

*** ** ***

Bliss walked through the house, making sure everything was in it's place. She still wore the belt, a long with all her weapons. She never took them off unless she was in here room, which was where she was headed.

The wolf followed behind her, like alway. She walked into one of the smallest rooms. The only thing in it was a pile of different animals fur. "Somewhere comfortable." Bliss mumbled as she unstrapped her blet and walked over to the furs.

She kicked off her shoes, over in the corner before she laid down on the furs. Bliss watched the wolf as he laid at the door, his head in his paws. He acted as if he was guarding her. She smiled as she grabbed her dagger and placed it by her side, before closing her eyes, letting sleep claim her.

Galen crouched down and observed the spot where the thief had ambushed the king the day before. He looked at how the ground was disturbed, how every blade of grass was bent.

The best place to always begin a hunt, was where the prey was last seen. From there you can always tell where your prey has been, and where it was going. Or so his father had said long ago.... before that day.

Galen took in the pools of blood where the knights had once laid. Shes deadly. Quick on her feet, and did not hesitated to kill.

Galen sniffed the air. Looking up into the trees he nodded his head. Pulling out a pair of leather wraps from a pouch on his belt he wrapped them around his hands. The wraps had four spikes inset into each with the spikes sticking out from the palm of his hands. He climbed the nearest tree and upon reaching a branch high in the air, he stopped and looked.

She had been here... and for some time waiting on them. Shes patient. Galen thought to himself as he then jumped down to the ground.

For the first time in a long time, Galen smiled. "This will be fun."

Looking for the tracks that led away, he noticed that she was very, very good at hiding her tracks. But no one could hide from him. No one.

Galen picked up her trail, and began his hunt.

***

Meanwhile.... in the small Kingdom of Uthend...

Prince Pieter Dalamar, ruler of Uthend, twirled on his adviser and pointed a finger into his face. "You say a girl stole not only King Alistar's crown but the treaty he had just signed with King Baldwin of Biemas?"

"And killed 6 of his best knights, and knocked him out cold." The winkled old man before him said as he smiled. Uther Liyod had been in the Dalamar family services for four generations. Some said that he was the true ruler of this kingdom and not the Dalamars.

"Oh that is too good." Pieter laughed.

"Yes my Prince." Uther waited a moment as he studied his Prince. "My Prince, it occurs to me that we may find some use of this. If we were to get this treaty, and show it to the other Kings and Barons, it would show him weak. Even more so among his own Lords and Ladies. It might cause a civil war, and even a renewed out break against Biemas."

The Prince nodded his head, rubbing the ugly wart on his face. "Yes... and while they are busy fighting, we could move in, and take their northern lands... oh how I wanted those lands... the gold mine in the Kariden Mountains alone..."

Uther simply nodded his head. "There is, however a problem."

Pieter stopped rubbing his face and stared at Uther. "What problem."

"Bryce has employed The Hunter." He said simpily.

Pieter actually paled. "The one that they say can track a falcon on a cloudy day? The Hunter they say has the blood of a wolf within his veins..."

Uther quickly cut his Prince off. "Yes, the very one. But this could present us again with an opportunity. The thief will try and sale the crown and treaty on the black market. The crown alone is worth a fortune. The treaty itself will be priceless. It would cost more then our treasury currently holds... but if the Hunter is as good as they say he is, all we have to do is wait for him to find her, the treaty, and while he is busy with her, we could have agents take the treaty, and... even the crown."

"Yes... make it so." With that Pieter was lost in thought of what he could do with the crown... and treaty.

Uther nodded his head and retreated from his Prince. He already knew whom he would send. The Twins. A brother and sister pair of assassins that had never let him down. They would make easy work of both the Hunter and Thief.

The wind was blowing hard, the blizzard snow rained down, making it hard to see anything. Including the small child that wondered along the dirt path of the forest. Her long dark brown hair flew wildly around her face, along with the over sized brown cloak she wore.

If you looked quick enough you could see the trail of red blood, right before the snow covered it up. The child looked as if she were struggling to take every step, as if it pained it, until suddenly she tripped and fell on the path, the snow the only thing that protected her face.

Out of no where, a pair of boots stopped in front from her and the girl looked up. It was then that I could see her face, stained with blood. Those young, innocent hazel eyes, filled with tears, along with fear and sadness.

*** ** ***

Bliss was shot out of her dream, her heart pounding, her body covered in sweat. She quickly sat up and looked around the room, making sure everything was fine. The wolf still laid in the doorway, his head on his paw. She could hear small barks coming from his direction, educating he was having a dream.

She continued to watch the animal for a while, listening to him as she brought her knees up to her chest. She wanted to stay awake, just until she was sure, when she fell asleep she wouldn’t have that dream again. After a while she moved her head, and rested it in her hands, taking deep, calm breathes. Bliss was about to head back to sleep when she heard the wolf come to a stand.

She turned her head over to him, curiosity filled her eyes. “What is-” she didn’t have time to finish her sentence before the animal ran out of the room, a low growl in the back of his throat.

Bliss, quickly grabbed the dagger she had by her side and got off the animal pelts. She slipped on her old shoes and grabbed her belt before followed the dog. When she got to the main room she saw him scratching at the door starting to bark. “Okay, okay hold on.” She said softly as she walked over to him. Bliss unhooked the small lock on the top of the door before she pulled the door open, allowing the wolf to run out into the night.

Maybe he just needed to use the bathroom… or he smells something, like another wolf. You know how protective he is of his land. She thought to herself as she looked out into the woods. These were one of the times that she wished she lived anywhere else. He’ll be back soon. I should just head back to bed. Though instead of following her better judgment, Bliss stepped out into the night, needing to know what make the wolf freak out.

As much as she didn’t want to be out here, not knowing what could be leaking, Bliss was no coward. She wouldn’t allow anything, or anybody to get the upper hand on her, she couldn’t afford it, not with the treaty and the crown finally hers.

Bliss walked out further, following the sound of the wolves, barking, his loud growling. As she walked, she hooked the belt around her waist, the leather belt slipping down her left side a bit.

As she walked followed the wolf she noticed they were heading in the same direction she had just come from. Stopping, Bliss got a bad feeling. Time to get going. she thought. She’d learn over the years when she had a feeling as bad as she had now, to never ignore it. She placed two fingers in her mouth and gave a strong blow, making a loud whistle, calling for the dog.

Quickly, Bliss turned around and started heading back to the cabin, attending on leaving in the next twenty to thirty minutes.

The trail was as hard as any Galen had followed. He was starting to actually be impressed with this girl. Not many in all the years he had hunted, had been so hard to track.... but he was close. He could smell her.

He almost could smell something else... wolf scent. A wolf, and it was clearly a single wolf from the smell, had marked its territory here. The scent was strong... an alpha male. Galen instinctively growled and bared his teeth.

In the distance he could hear something. At first it was barking... not that far. But then he heard a whistle.... Galen quickly molded himself into the shadows. He pulled his bow out and notched an arrow.

There... a wolf, a large black and gray wolf. It was coming his way. But that mattered little. Behind the wolf, Galen saw a girl with dark brown hair... she wore a simple dark green dress with a leather belt around her waist. She had turned around and was making her way back to the house. There was no doubt in Galen's mind that this was his prey. Galen snarled.

He would have to deal with the wolf first, before he could go after her. On any other day, any other time, he would give this creature the proper hunt it would deserve. But today, he would have to finish it, and finish it quickly! Too much time spent with it would allow his prey to get away, and that he could not allow.

Notching the arrow as far back as he could he took aim for the creature's heart, and let loose!

As she walked back, she was expecting the wolf to come running behind her. He was always be her side whenever she was looking for a new place. Sometimes he even led her to a new home. This time though Bliss didn't hear his paws running behind her, instead she heard a small, but quick whimper before the forest fell silent.

Freezing instantly in her tracks, Bliss turned her head back. She put her fingers back to her mouth and blow hard, filling the air with her whistle. When she didn't get a reply, she started to get worried.

He's fine. He'll come when he's ready. She thought to herself as she took a step back, towards to cottage. Her hard were clunched hard to her side. her right one tingling to move up to her belt. He'll be fine.

Bliss turned back to the house and broke into a run, done with being quiet. All that mattered now was getting the treaty and crown, packing a few things, then getting the hell out of her. It felt odd not having the wwolf running beside her, but she just kept repeating in her mind, 'He'll be fine'.

She arrived in front of the cottage a few moments later, her chest heaving up and down, but not from the running. She pushed the door open before closing it, locking the small chain at the top behind her, --not that it would keep anything out if they tried hard enough--- Bliss went straight to where she hid her treasure, pulling the chair away, throwing back the rug. Getting down on her knees, she dug her nail in the crack of the wood and pulled until it gave away with a small 'crack.'

With a quick hand, she reached inside and grabbed the two objects in her hand, one by one and pulled them out. She looked back at the door for a moment as she placed the two objects in a bag, with in the safety of her belt, tugging on the bag to make sure it would fall off when she ran. She stood up when she was done. Next she ran over to the chair she laid her cloak upon and snached it up, unfolding it and throwing it on.

She pulled the hood up as she walked into her room.

Galen did not stop to check on the wolf. He was sure of his aim. What he wasn't sure of was what the little girl would do. She took off to the cozy cottage, so he was pretty sure she knew she had to leave. But did she have a back way out, traps laid out. He would have to be careful, but he would also have to be quick.

Running up to the cottage, he examined it. As far as he could tell she was still in there. Slinging his bow back behind his back, he reached for his sword....

Only the growl behind him stopped him where he was. Swirling around, he saw the wolf coming charging at him, his jaw open wide. Only one thing went though his head at that moment. I should've used two arrows. He brought his arm up as the wolf came crashing into him.

Bliss slowly stood up when she heard her wolf growl, followed by the sound of someone, or something falling. Good boy She thought before she threw her sack, filled with some of her clothes, over her shoulder.

She quickly walked out of the room over to the front door, she unhooked the lock before she threw it open. Very good boy Bliss took a moment to watch the wolf, snapping and growling at the man he had under him. The only thing that kept the wolf from digging his teeth into the mans neck, was his musclar arm, which were trying to get the wolf from off him.

Before he had time to get the wolf off, Bliss moved. Se grabbed the beast by his neck as she drew her dagger. Giving a forceful tug,the wolf backed away and Bliss took its' place. The dagger at his throat.

"What are you doing out here and why were you outside my house?" She barkd at him" the dagger pushing into his flesh a bit. She wanted to just slice his neck open, but there was something off about this man. His eyes.

She noticed his eyes, that they held no fear, like he know something she didn't.

Galen felt the blade pressing hard into the flesh of his neck, blood slowly seeping around the sharpen edge. But he expressed nothing as he stared up into the hood of the young girl above him.

"Little girl, you have no idea." His voice was flat and devoid of any emotion. But even though he expressed nothing, for some reason he was feeling something. He couldn't tell what it was, but he knew he felt something stirring within him. When was the last time he ever had someone else with a blade pressed against him. Never.

His eyes moved off the the little girl to the wolf, his amber eyes staring into the beast's yellow eyes. The beast growled at him. Galen ignored that and stared back to the little girl. "I'm the Hunter. And you are my prey."

Bliss took a moment to allow his words to sink in, 'I'm the Hunter. And you are my prey.' A small smile played at the corner of her mouth. Suddenly, she could no longer ho0ld it back. "Hunter, you dare call me prey?" She laughed. Even if Bliss was someone who could stare a person in the eyes as she plugged a sword into them, her laugher still sounded like bells.

Slowly, her lughter died down, her smile remaining. "Who is the one that was just attcked by my wolf. The one who is now laying beneath me, a 0dagger at his throat?" She asked him, her voice playful. Normally, she never allowed herself to speak to the ones she'd soon kill, but this... this Hunter. He was different. Sadly, not in the fighting way. His blood still ran across her blade.

"How sad." She mumbled to herself. "Maybe one day I'll find someone that is strong enough to go against me." She said as her wolf grew nearer. "Now, how would you like this? Quickly, if a bit of pain? Or slowly, filled with hours and hours of your screams ad cries?"

Galen stared up at her. He now knew what it was he was feeling. Excitement. He hadn't felt that in so long... Something about this girl, was it her gall? Her obvious skills.... She was pretty, he could admit that, but then he had seen many a pretty lass over the last 10 years throw themselves at him. He didn't care about them. This girl however...

With his left hand he pulled out a small dagger from his sleeve. It was barely an inch long, but it would serve its purpose here.

He leaded into her dagger a bit more, feeling the cold blade at his throat coat with his blood. "I've stare into Death's face, and trust me when I say this little girl, he wants nothing to do with me."

In a flash he threw what weight he could back wards, his right hand grabbed her hand with the blade, twisting his body and wrapping his legs around her lithe body, and with strength honed from years of running, he threw her off him, and rolled away.

As he came to a stop he jumped to his feet, his right hand went to his sword on the left side of him and pulled it out, the right already throwing the small dagger at the girl.

Fuck! Bliss thought as she was suddenly thrown off the man. The blade, it was deep in his neck, yet still, unlike so many others he worked through the pain, if he had any, long enough to take her down. It only took them both less then two second to get back up on the feet, though Bliss wore a smile on her face.

She was impressed, no one over the past 17 years has ever been able to catch her off guard before, it was nice change, something she even welcomed. "You still believe Death is a player, Hunter?" Bliss asked before she threw his dagger up in the air, catching it as it flew down. She grabbed it right as she was standing up, it having been a inch from her face. "Understand this, Death wont even come near me anymore." She said as she flicked the small weapon. It flew threw the air, faster then most people could see before burring itself in his shoulder.

Perfect.[/] She thought, glad that it hit it's mark. She didn't think she wanted the Hunter dead, at least not yet. Not until she got her fill.

"By the way dear Hunter, might I ask something?" She started with a grin. "Why am I your prey? I have never seen you before, if I had you would have surely been dead, or Iyou were just to pathetic."

Galen bared his teeth in a snarl as the dagger imbedded itself into his shoulder, but other then that he barely filched. He kept his eyes on both the wolf and the girl, watching their very movement.

Without looking he pulled the dagger from his shoulder while his eyes locked onto the little girl, he made sure to keep the wolf in his field of vision. At the same time he took her in. While the cloak covered her, he could tell she was well toned, and could see the swells of her breasts moving up and down as she breathed. The more she spoke, the more he could fell something within him he thought was long dead. Her laughter was like honey to his ears. He had never meant someone like this before, and he was enjoying it.

"You stole from the wrong people." He said impassively. "And while I could care less what the King wants, the fact that you were able to take out 6 of his best men, said something." He paused as a slight grin pulled at the corner of his lips. "When they said it was nothing more then a wisp of a girl, I knew I had to see this for myself... because I didn't actually believe it."

"Wisp?" She mumbled before grinning at him. "Oh, now Hunter you've gone and hurt my feelings." She said, making her bottom lip stick out a bit. "You don't think a girl is strong enough to take on a man? Especially a little girl" She asked trying hard not to laugh again.

She moved out of her attack stance and reached down to the egde of the cloak. With a flick of her hand, it was thrown aside, showing him the right side of her body, her belt armed with a few weapons, and the back that held her new treasures. "Come now Hunter, if those were the kings best men then don't you think these things should have been taken?"

Bliss turned around, showing him the back of her cloak. She wasn't worried he'd do aything. If he even flinched, the wolf would warn her. "That crown, he did not deserve it if for his best men all he could find were them. Ha, I fought old men tat lasted longer then that bunch."

She looked over her shoulder at him. "and you, he had to hire a Hunter to find me, to get his things back? Pathetic. He is the king, if he wants this stuff, he should come after me himself... not that I would allow him with in a 5 miles of my home."

Galen studied her as she turned around. For the first time in a long time he laughed. "Ah you might have taken out a few knights, and you have shown you know which end of the sword to hold." He lowered his sword.

"What is your name, I cannot keep calling you little girl, now can I. It won't do when I mount your head on my wall, and tell people 'This was the little girl.' Just doesn't sound right."

Hot laugh She thought to herself as she felt her legs give a small quiver. Turning on her heel, Bliss faced him once again. She moved her hands to her hood and pulled it off, showing him and sweet face, something you didn't expect t see on a killer. "I don't really have a name. I mean to a point. No one knows me, so no one uses it, but... since ou asked so nicely for a Hunter. I'll give it to you. It's Bliss."

Her hand moved down to her belt, playing with the the small arrow she had. "Now, since I have given you mine, it's only fair that I am reward with yours. I mean it can't just be Hunter, though that is a very common name in the south kingdoms, I don't think it screams your name."

She grinned, "You don't have to tell me though. My wolf," she motioned to him with her head. "Doesn't care what your name is, just how fresh you are."

Galen actually started to feel himself being pulled in as he stared into her eyes. The shape of them, the hazel with just the right shade of green mixed in. Her cheek bones, the curve of her little chin. The way her nose seemed to just find the right angle no matter where her face was.

Her hair seemed to be just flow as she stood there, and yet at the same time, seemed to be afire as the light hit it just right.

Bliss.... it seemed right to him. Galen fought hard to control urges that were almost swelling up within him.

"Now, since I have given you mine, it's only fair that I am reward with yours. I mean it can't just be Hunter, though that is a very common name in the south kingdoms, I don't think it screams your name."

Galen pondered this. Only a handful of people knew his real name, and the fact that she did not budge or as he said he was The Hunter.... it was somewhat refreshing.

"While many just call me The Hunter, others call me The Wolf-" He made a point to look at her friend as he said that but his eyes quickly returned to her. "- even been called Death's Right Hand... but my birth name is Galen." He folded his arms across his chest. "And what of your friend... you cannot just call him Wolf."

[Galen? Hmm. now that, that did fit him! Death right hand? Well she would have to figure out about that name.[/i]

At the mention of the wo0lf her eyes narrowed a bit. "Ah, and the mighty is wrong. I would call him nothing else, not now, not ever. He is wild, born free to do as he pleases. If I were to give him a name, I would be marking him as my pet." Bliss gave a snap of her finger and the beast quickly came to her. "He is just loyal, we protect each other. I am no better then him, so I have no need to try and claim him."

Bliss rested her head on the wolfs head. "By the way," She looked at the blood that stained the dogs coat. "If you are going to try and kill a wolf, make sure the the arrow hits it's target and not just brushes against it. A wolf can hold quite a grugde."

Finally, she gave a yawn. "Now sir, if we are done here you can go back to the king and tell him to come here himself. If he doesn't I'll just go with my earlier plan on what to do with his things."

"By the way if you are going to try and kill a wolf, make sure the the arrow hits it's target and not just brushes against it. A wolf can hold quite a grudge." Bliss said as she was resting her head on the wolf.

How right she is about that. Galen thought to himself.

"Now sir, if we are done here you can go back to the king and tell him to come here himself. If he doesn't I'll just go with my earlier plan on what to do with his things."

Galen's smile went away, and his face became impassive again. "We aren't done. Not yet."

With that he flicked his small dagger back towards her, and was charging less then a breath after.

The wolf was already moving towards him, but this time he wasn't going to miss, as he brought his sword down upon its head.

"Noooo!" She screamed, her voice sounding like a hurt childs as it echoed through the woods. She didn't even feel the small dagger as it hit her arm. No. Her eyes were glued on the blood that stained the ground in front of her. Her once good friend laid motionless on the ground.

Freezing instantly, at that moment she didn't care what the Hunter was doing. If his sword was about to go through her. "What did you do?" She whispered, tears threatened to pour out of her eyes. Quickly, turning her head up, Bliss grabbed her hood and pulled it on her head, hiding her face. She reached her hand down and grabbed the dagger, pullingit down. The only sound that came from her mouth was her heavy breathing.

Her head moved to where she first sat upon him, to her dagger. Before the Hunter could react she dived for it, grabbing it in her right hand before coming back to a stand. "I swear you will pay for this." Bliss hissed, the weapon clenched in her fist.

Galen actually felt a twinge of sadness for the poor beasts demise. It had been a loyal companion to Bliss, but if he was going to finish what he started here, he had no choice.

"I swear you will pay for this." Bliss hissed. Galen noticed that her hood was pulled back up, covering her face. In her hand was her dagger.

"I told you that I was sometimes called Death's Right Hand..." He ready himself, putting his feet in a ready stance. "If it means anything, I wish I hadn't had to do that."

"Your words mean nothing to me!" She snapped at him. "You call yourself a Hunter, but you can't even give a wolf the proper death it deserves!" She said, still shcoked that her friend was gone. That he wasn't coming back anytime soon.

She didn't allow Galen to speak, to try and defend himself. Any respect she had for him was wipd out when he brought his sword down. Instead she moved quickly, allowing her instincts to take over.

Bliss ran at him, her dagger held out in front of her. She wasn't that dumb though, Bliss knew not to go for the obviouse target. Nce she was close enough, the small girl dropped down to her knees, slidding between the Hunters spread legs. As she did she held the blade out an cut his ankle.

Quickly, before he had time to grab her, she was standing tall, his back to her.

"Your words mean nothing to me!" She snapped at him. "You call yourself a Hunter, but you can't even give a wolf the proper death it deserves!"

She didn't understand. Death was death. There was never anything proper about it. Yet she was right that the beast had deserved more. In any other place, any other time he would have given the creature its proper respect... But he wasn't here for the wolf, he was here for her.

Years of training, experiences with other opponents, men that could slay 100s with out breaking a sweat, beasts that could destroy whole villages, traveled environments that were impassable, and still this girl was able to surprise him.

He had thought he could gauge how quick she could be. He had been wrong. He had expected if she attacked she would go for the quick killing blow, but instead she went for something to impair him. His respect for her went up ten fold.

That still didn't stop him from dropping to his knee though. The ability to shut out pain could do wonders, but when the muscle and bones in your ankle were cut and smashed, there was little you could do. You just didn't have the ability to put weight on it.

He grunted as he went down, but that still wouldn't stop him. He attempted to roll with his momentum, but she had used her smaller body and slid between his legs and was behind him. Still he rolled after her, grabbing her ankle with his free left hand, pulling her leg from beneath her.

A loud gasp came from her mouth as her leg was, surprising, pulled out from under her. She fell back, unable to snach it back in time. She couldn't remember the last time she fell on her back, especially from someone pulling her leg out. The ground was harder then she remembered it being.

Bliss used her arms to push herself up, glaring at Galen. "Very, very bad idea." She said before she moved her free foot up. She gave a strong, forceful kick and got him square in the jaw. A small smile came to her face hen she saw blood. Soon, that'll stain the ground. She thought as the presure o her foot faded a bit.

She quickly pulled her foot free and flipped backward, until she was standing sraight up. "Still don't believe a little girl took those men out?" She asked him, fire in her eyes.
