Whenever someone wants to discredit someone else's opinion they label it a "rant" thereby implying that its not a valid viewpoint and not only has no legitimacy but its expression is somehow wrong.

The mainstream media frequently calls opinions expressed by ordinary people "rants" but never refers to its own commentaries as "rants."

Its time to show respect for all views, especially those that are strongly worded as they show passion and conviction, and never use the slur "rant" (or "diatribe" or other similar words) to attempt to discredit them.

The use of slurs such as "rant" are an effort by the ruling elite to keep ordinary people from expressing opposing views to the approved media narrative.
