Brian Lewis was living a life he could only dream about. He had his dream job, was married to what he felt was an amazing woman, and had a young son. His felt like he was in a perfect spot, and nothing could derail him. Brian moved to Oak Springs out of college. At first it was a shot in the dark, he was offered a teaching job within the local school district, and he jumped at the opportunity. His goal was to teach for a few years, then move closer to home. However, those plans all changed when he met Rachel. Rachel worked at the local hospital, and Brian and her quickly fell in love and got married. After getting married, Brian found himself finding his footing in the school district. It was an exciting time, and he knew all his earlier plans had changed.
Fast forward 10 years and Brian was now 35 years old. He was teaching physical education at Oak Springs High school and coaching the schools varsity basketball team. Rachel and him moved into a very nice family neighborhood, and had their first son, Chase. Brian could not believe that he had settled down in Oak Springs, but it happened. The town was not special, but it did have many very wealthy families. Brian enjoyed living in the town, it had a small town feel without being too small. It had become his home, and a place that he loved being involved in.
At school, Brian was a very popular teacher. He had a great relationship with his students and he enjoyed having students feel comfortable coming to him and talking with him. He enjoyed teaching phys ed at the school as he didn't feel like he worked a day in his life. Being at the school for 10 years, he had a nice office near the gym, that counted as his teaching office and coaching office. It was set up nicely with a desk in the back, a small table on one wall for him to have meetings in it, and a television on the other so he could watch game film for his basketball team. Overall, he felt like everything was going in the right direction, nothing could take him off the path he was on, or at least, so he thought.
