actress category.........how ironic that she mentioned
Dorothy Dandridge, because that is who she played
back in '99 and won an Emmy for portraying her.......


And for Denzel......he got an Oscar for best supporting
actor for "Glory" back in '89.......and now......Best
Actor......talk about Sidney Poitier being a good luck
charm so to speak!

I am glad that the Academy finally recognized what

There isn't as much emphasis on the music awards because quite frankly even though the Oscars make mistakes at times, the shittiest actors don't consistently win.

The music awards are about the masses, the Oscars really aren't.

The day legitimate groups start winning music awards then maybe people will give a shit.

The entire Oscars media driven feast is driven for the masses, even those that deride it watch it eg YOU, it's a perfect example of what you Americans do well - bend to the popular, you rush from one shallow trend to another, the entire concept of artistic credibility as well as contribution is completely foreign to you (pardon the pun). Such a shallow country. I've lived there, I've seen it.
