The Summer I Learned To Fly

Your tale is rolling along down the hiway, it takes a curve around a hill, and WHAM! you collide with a bridge out ahead warning sign. Or you race down a blind alley to a brick wall. How do you deal with it?

Do you suddenly remember the summer you learned how to fly at camp, and leap into the air?

Since it is your road and your alley why would you have a dead end or a bridge out unless it's part of the plot.

Just for fun, here's how I fixed the dead end alley problem:

A Dance with the Devil

My tales are more likely to slither around at ground level in constant danger of having their heads chopped off by a hoe.

I have my fix, Gomer.

In the worlds I create the blind alley doesn't exist, the bridge was just fixed and I know how to fly as I speed along in my flying car. ;)

I write Sci-Fi. :D

I think he's talking about being stonewalled by writers block.

But maybe I am just simplifying things and the pros here are smarter than me.

I just walk away from it for a day watch a ballgame, throw some darts, chill out then sleep on it. Usually by the next day they've cleared the road.

Theres a reason youre such a good writer.

I don't know, LC, but they're definitely smarter than I.

*ahem*

"Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads."

That's all I've got.
