Unable to sleep, Linda stood at the window looking out at the storm. Her husband was snoring and sound asleep from drinking too much. Linda was lonely and realized what a mistake she had made getting married too soon. He had money, but more and more she needed what he wasn't giving her, and when he did it was over in seconds.
Lightning flashed. Linda saw a figure of a man wearing a hooded rain jacket. It appeared as if he was looking up at her. She should have woken her husband or called the police but something forced her to stay. Lightning flashed again and he was still there. This time she was sure he was looking and she could see the rugged features of his handsome face.
The next time lightning flashed he was gone. Linda put on her robe over her nightie and went downstairs. She looked out the back door. No one was there. Could she have been dreaming? She foolishly opened the door and stepped out onto the back porch. She froze when she saw him step from the shadows and lock his eyes on hers.
IC: I had been scoping out the Davis mansion for quite some time waitng for the right opportunity to help myself to some of the wealth inside. I could tell that Mrs. Davis was a bored and beautiful young trophy wife of this business magnate. It was easy to be attracted to her and sometimes I would hang around just to watch her.
I should have run as soon as she saw me, but a voice inside told me to stay. When she stepped out onto the porch and saw me I had to make a choice. She didn't move away so I quickly moved to her before she changed her mind.
I stood inches in front of her dripping with water, our eyes still locked. My hands went to her waist and I pulled her towards me. I bent my head down to kiss her expecting her to come to her senses any moment and run.
