After Senator Jefferson Sessions (R-AL) was confirmed as Attorney General, Luther Strange was appointed by Robert Bentley, who was Governor at the time (since resigned in shame) to fill his seat. He is up for election in December to finish the term through 2021.

Roy Moore, former Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court, is challenging Strange for the Republican nomination, and is ahead in the polls. The Republican primary runoff takes place next Tuesday 9/26.

Moore has plenty of conservative endorsements, including Roger Stone, Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter, Mark Levin, Laura Ingraham, Sebastian Gorka and Steve Bannon. He's also endorsed by Tom Coburn, Jim DeMint, Louie Gohmert, Steve King, Mike Huckabee and Sarah Palin.

Strange is endorsed by President Trump, Vice President Pence, and Senators Mitch McConnell and Richard Shelby (R-AL).

Trump and Pence will be stumping for Strange this weekend. Since this is Alabama, snack on pork rinds instead of popcorn.

Alabama deserves their asshole Moore. He will certainly be entertaining. Lackeys will call him JUDGE and expose their backsides to his mighty judicial prick, the very penis that believes one of the three versions of decalogue in one of many textual versions should be tattooed on everyone's forehead -- except the deportable or executable sp!cks and n!ggers. Brand them with pentagrams.

I'll admit, I've not been to Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, or Florida. They may be lovely places filled with engaging people. But Alabama gets rated as democratically in the neighborhood of China or Somalia. Free and fair elections don't exist. South Carolina ain't much better. Welcome to feudalism.

Trump visit did not help Luther Strange, new poll says; 4 polls give Roy Moore big lead

In a telephone survey of 996 Republican runoff voters conducted Saturday and Sunday - after Trump's visit on Friday night - Moore received 52 percent of the vote to Strange's 41 percent. The poll had a margin of error of 3.1 percent.

Meanwhile, three other polls released Monday told the same story: Moore with a double-digit lead. Strange has not led in a Senate race poll.

Roy Moore pulls out a gun to convince people to vote for him or else.
Republican Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore drew a handgun from his pocket during a campaign rally on Monday as he made a final push to sway voters ahead of the state's Republican runoff for U.S. Senate on Tuesday.
"They think you're a pack of morons," said the guy wearing two collared shirts.
The closely-watched Alabama runoff has pitted President Donald Trump against his former strategist, Steve Bannon, as the two have taken up opposite sides in the race.

Bannon, who appeared at the rally, and has endorsed Moore, while Trump has endorsed Strange.

Voters, decide: What's your favorite toxic sludge? Would you rather be thrown into a den of rattlesnakes, or crocodiles? Do you prefer syphilis or gonorrhea? The choice is yours.

‘Who raised these people?‘: MSNBC’s Morning Joe pounds ‘ignorant’ Alabama voters who booed John McCain

MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough lambasted Alabama voters who went along with President Donald Trump’s efforts to turn Sen. John McCain’s name into a punchline.

The “Morning Joe” host, who graduated from the University of Alabama, was disgusted by Trump’s personal attacks on the Arizona Republican — a Vietnam War hero who is battling brain cancer — for voting against repealing the Affordable Care Act.

“No humanity,” Scarborough said. “You have a man who is dying and you are using him for political punch lines on talk radio, and also audiences in Alabama?”

Scarborough blamed the Trump supporters who jeered McCain’s name right on cue, when the president attacked his perceived disloyalty.

“Who raised them? Who raised these people?” Scarborough said. “Because, I guarantee you, I was raised in the same region and the same socioeconomic background, going to the same Southern Baptist churches, going to the same public schools, going to the same public colleges, state schools, that these people went to. So I ask, who raised these people? Who have they become that they would boo a man who is fighting for his very life.”

Scarborough compared McCain’s service record as a U.S. Navy pilot who spent more than five years as a prisoner of war to Trump, who received four college deferments and one medical deferment to avoid serving during Vietnam.

Herd mentality of Alabama, sheeple. :)

Gun-totin' Judge Roy Moore can look forward to tacking up the Ten Commandments in his Senate office on Capitol Hill next year.

President Trump has deleted several official documents from his Twitter account.

No more pork rinds for me. Ich.

Trump has no influence, not in Congress, not in the Party, not in world affairs, not with the electorate. It is on track to easily be the single most failed Presidency in our history.

Inaccurate. Tromp's minions are carefully slashing numerous protective agency rules, weakening civil and judicial rights, gutting environmental safeguards, and just generally poisoning the physical and legal world. Tromp has appointed many many head-up-ass federal judges, skewing the court system for decades.

True, Tromp is totally incompetent with legislation and finance. But he is still inflicting long-term damage to the US and the world. Playing nuclear chicken with Kim isn't really reassuring either. Tromp has great influence -- none good.

That was particularly prescient.

I always thought Florida was the armpit of the nation, but I see now I was wrong.
Most folks have two armpits. Amerikkka is a big place; it can support multiples. Don't forget South Carolina, home of Southern treason(*) and voter suppression. Alabama is right there in the axillary depths, for sure. George Wallace would be a socialist there now.

Florida is a different sort of pit. Not quite an anus but more than a navel.

(*) The South Carolinians who pushed for secession wanted the South to return to royal British rule, its citizens to become subjects of the Queen... if they could keep their slaves.
