It's our fault, our freedom of speech and bigoted Americans together have insulted Islam.

Unfuckingbelievable ... Huma must have written this one:
U.S. Embassy Condemns Religious Incitement
September 11, 2012
teh Embassy of teh United States in Cairo condemns teh continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt teh religious feelings of Muslims – as we condemn efforts to offend believers of all religions. Today, teh 11th anniversary of teh September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on teh United States, Americans are honoring our patriots and those who serve our nation as teh fitting response to teh enemies of democracy. Respect for religious beliefs is a cornerstone of American democracy. We firmly reject teh actions by those who abuse teh universal right of free speech to hurt teh religious beliefs of others.
Yeah, teh White House walked it back because it wasn't germane.
You know what to do with it:
That was a press release that was released 4 hours before the embassy attacks on a completely different issue.
But hey, whatever works
Obama shames America. He doesn't have time for his daily intelligence briefings. That's probably why we were caught flat footed.
Ugly stuff. The official statement did strike me as a little off-key.
Yes, if only he had a sterling attendance record like Bush. That makes a lot of sense. There were no attacks against the US during Bush's tenure. Well, not any big, notable ones, I mean. Did you have a fun day yesterday, a day that was certainly not notable for being the anniversary of anything in particular?
C'mon now. It's a sad thing, but let's not get unreasonable in looking for someone to blame. You'll just have to trust that I'd be saying the same thing if it were a Republican administration instead (I would be) (I think!).
