It is year 2210 and Earth has begun to overgrow with the human population since one hundred and fifty years ago, thus plans for expansion beyond the limits of earth have started. After the breakthrough with Terra Formation Technology has three planets of the sol system been turned into colonies for the expanding population of humanity along with seven other planets in four different solar systems. But expanded borders awakens new conflicts, the planet colonies wants to separate from the hold of the governments of Earth in year 2142 and for the next 38 years would Earth and the Colonies come to war with each other until something happened, First Contact.
Aliens were discovered, intelligent sapient species who could learn to understand the human languages and cultures, at first were the contact a bit on the edge between the different species but soon enough were the species able to cooperate enough to work together to improve their people's situation, of course there are still many dangers even with the open trade between the alien species. Xenophobic humans and non-human, pirates, smugglers, terrorists, human colony rebels fighting the Terran governments, human extremists who consider aliens and/or rebels beneath them, or aliens who consider humans beneath them and many other dangers. The Terran government has established through the thirty years since First Contact a strong hold of fifty colonized planets across the solar systems.
There are of course several neutral factions among both humans and aliens, one of these is a company owned by a human former military officer who has opened up a freelance company for multiple species to take part of. Currently stationed at the intergalactic trade space station of Horus Beta he has opened office for recruits for his company.

This is a science fiction rp about a very Mass effect like universe where alien species are co-working together to evolve their societies, technologies and standings in the universe. A former space marine of the UPF, United Planetary Federation, starts up a freelancer company that will preform several different missions, mercenary work, guard duties, trade, mining, exploration and so on. His company is fresh but he has managed to acquire a large space ship to use for the company's movement across he galaxy.
If you want to make an alien specie of your own just write down the basic appearance and background, no need to go major. If it is a specie that already exist then you can just post a link to the information about it.

Class/Profession: Class is a way to categorize the way your character adds to situations like combat and the likes, profession is what your character does for a living.
Skills: Things like space combat, thievery, sabotage, spaceship piloting, close combat ,etc.
Equipment: Do not go overboard if you had something like an Plasma laser cannon you'd either need heavy credits or a tank for the cannon to be on.
Personality: no need to go too deep, just a few words to get the feeling for the character's personality, a line or so.
Background: You do not need to go overboard here either, just write a background about your character, no need to make memoirs
Appearance: Image link is good, but if black and white image give some text to reveal the non colored information.

Personality: Strong willed, independent, wild, charismatic, cunning but can be blunt when he wants to.
Background: Michael Wulfgang, former Captain Michael Wulfgang of the STM, Special Task Marines, he was born and raised on the colony of Mars, he graduated from the Galactic Military Academy when he turned twenty two and joined the military directly afterwards. Later on he was put into the STM after a scouting mission escalated into a hunt for pirates who had just attacked a trade frigate, his commanding officer spoke for him to be placed in the STM for his actions in taking the pirate ship, its stolen cargo and its crew without any loses.
When he turned twenty seven had he been a Captain for the STM for two years and was ordered to a special reconnaissance mission against a group of terrorists who had taken control of a space station. But when he retook the control of the station it was revealed that the so called terrorists had been slaves who had freed themselves from the storage holds in the station, which was used as an auction house for the Underworld slave trade. He was bribed to keep silent but he spoke out and over fifty high ranking officers were taken for court, he left the military and the UPF and used his contacts and favors in the military to draw out resources for cheap prizes, he was even able to lay his hand on a large spaceship, an over seven hundred meter long heavy class cruiser which he named the Star Hound.
Appearance: 7'2", athletic, a black wolf tattoo with a star on the forehead on his back with a banner clutched between its jaws stating, Wolves of the Stars.
