The SPLC, yet another dangerously radical organization.

It's time for them to fold their tents and go get real jobs. They recently listed Dr. Ben Carson as a 'dangerous radical'

Ben Carson - Murderer in waiting

They have also listed many others in the same category for no other reason than those listed have honest disagreements on policy. They have gotten so over the top that the FBI has dropped them as a source of information on so called 'radical groups' due to their lack of common sense and due diligence.

Like many other organizations of their type they started out with a legitimate purpose and provided a valuable service in the fight against racism and bigotry. But as goals were met they had to find new dragons to slay, their rhetoric became more inflamed and histrionic. All of this in the interest of keeping those funds flowing into their coffers. They are as guilty of promulgating 'hate speech' as those they rail against.

They, like the NAACP, have outlived their usefulness and are becoming dangerous. Time for them to go.

Yet there are plenty of progressives on this very Board who still consider Carson politically "dangerous" and most definitely an "extremist"...

...accordingly, then, they too "have outlived their usefulness and are becoming dangerous", so is it "Time for them to go", "to fold their tents", too?

What odds you giving on either the SPLC or LIT progressives actually doing so?

They've got some good research papers on their site. Where else are you going to go to learn about sovereign citizens or posse comitatus.

Ahh yes, the stuff they used to teach in high school that was actually of value and worth remembering. Before they decided that all of that "feel good", politically correct, and utterly useless bullshit should take up the curricula.

From FBI interrogation footage. Confessed terrorist Floyd Lee Corkins II, who attacked Family Research Council on August 15, 2012, shooting and injuring Leo Johnson (before Johnson subdued him and took his weapon) explains to FBI interrogators that he used the Southern Poverty Law Center's list to find his target.

What is it we always hear? The violence comes from angry white right-wingers...

#UsualSocialistSophism

Socialism, like the ancient ideas from which it springs, confuses the distinction between government and society. As a result of this, every time we object to a thing being done by government, the socialists conclude that we object to its being done at all. We disapprove of state education. Then the socialists say that we are opposed to any education. We object to a state religion. Then the socialists say that we want no religion at all. We object to a state-enforced equality. Then they say that we are against equality. And so on, and so on. It is as if the socialists were to accuse us of not wanting persons to eat because we do not want the state to raise grain.
Frédéric Bastiat

As Scott Walker rises, we will see a lot of this.

Every time some act of senseless violence catches the attention of the national media the first meme they try to promulgate is that the act was perpetrated by some right wing radical. And as the story unfolds we find that the whacko was way out on the left. It's gotten to the point that I think the media is acting out of desperation to have a right wing bad guy. It's almost pathological at this point.

The left also can't seem to understand that being against bad education is not the same as being against education in general.

Can you not hear now the exultation of the posters here when they finally get their poster child?

Witness the shallowness of their replies. Nothing thought-out, nothing cogent, nothing but bumper sticker slogans, hash-tags and mantras...

They need a symbol they can rally around.

Muslims shot?

Islamophobia.

;) ;)

THAT guy was not on the Left, because people on the Left don't shoot other people. He wasn't a real Democrat...

... just a right-winger trying to tarnish the image of the Party of Peace.

:D

And get one they will...........eventually. That is a statistical certainty.

The SPLC has since apologized and removed Carson from "the list." They look pretty stupid. I wonder who else is on it.

I'd go with 'inconsequential yahoo' myself, but each to their own.

All the way back to the Puritans people form organizations to oppose one thing or another, and every do-good group embraced a new cause when the old cause prevailed across the land. Do-good is an industry for social parasites. The SPLC rejects Carson's traditional views of marriage, thus he's a monster. They got a brand new bag.
