Kane Storm had spent most of his life trying to stay out of trouble. That didn't mean he succeeded, of course. Trouble seemed to follow him around. He had spent a lot of time training with both modern and ancient weapons, at the insistence of his uncle, who called him Little Prince. He didn't put much stock in the nickname, shaking his head every time he heard it. As he grew up, he learned a lot, in a variety of subjects. Of course, one day, he fell into an old cavern underneath the well behind his uncle's house. He had been with his uncle as long as he could remember, not knowing who his parents were. He hit the floor of the cavern hard, rolling onto his back. He passed out from the blow. Suddenly, a small click woke him from unconsciousness. He turned to look around, and saw a shining golden armlet on his wrist. He'd never seen it before, but even so it looked familiar to him. He sat up slowly, and looked around the cave. As he explored the cave, torches lit, almost as if alive and expecting him. He was confused at that, but then he walked up to a small cube floating in the air between two pillars. He heard a voice suddenly, speaking in his head.

"Welcome, Spirit King. The Gold Armlet you wear now is the key to a power struggle ancient beyond comprehension. Even now, as you've found the Gold Armlet, the Silver Armlet has been found. The will that drives it is evil, malevolence personified. You must find and release the Elemental Spirits, and do battle with the bearer of the Silver Armlet." Suddenly, the voice was gone. In the place of the cube between the pillars was a staircase. He stood there for a few moments, then climbed the stairs to the surface. He came out inside the house, with his uncle waiting for him.

OOC: casting call is here

Takuya the spirt of the air felt a resonance inside her like the spirit king has finally discovered his new powers. Feeling anticipation she awaited her chance to be free again.

Deep inside a forgotten cave, a seemingly normal young man sat in the darkness, almost solely visible by the glow of his electric blue eyes. Toying idly with a large broadsword, he abruptly looked up as he felt a small tremor shake his home/prison and an intense black aura erupted around his body.

"So, a new lamb for the slaughter, huh?" Kai mused, laughing a little. "Well, I suppose if he ever makes it here, I'll have the chance to see the outside again."

Baron Storm had spent most of his life fighting and teaching fighters. When his nephew had been orphaned, Baron decided to raise the young man. In spite of Kain's temper, Baron knew that the young man was destined for great things. That was confirmed when Baron saw Kain walk out of a hidden passageway that Baron had not seen opened ever, though he knew it was there. The house had been built on top of a shrine, and it would have eventually happened to someone. He didn't expect it to be his nephew, but then trouble did seem to follow the lad home. Baron saw the armlet on his nephew's wrist, and knew immediately that soon he'd have to tell the boy the whole story. However, he didn't think he'd need to tell him the whole thing right now.

"So, you've obtained the Golden Armlet that marks the Spirit King. You have much work ahead of you, Kain. Are you ready? Good, then go to the old spring to the east. There, you will find the shrine in which sleeps Dytto, spirit of the water. Your first task is to befriend her. You will need a weapon. Take the short sword on the wall. Use what I've taught you well."

-----

Kain had been extremely surprised to find his uncle sitting in the living room of their house. He had been even more surprised to find himself walking out of a hidden passageway and into the house. He listened to his uncle's explanation, then nodded in response to his question, and his direction. He walked over to the wall, and took the short sword down, strapping it to his waist. Then he turned to his uncle, and bowed. "I will do ask you ask, dear uncle. But when I get back, I'm going to want to know what's going on." When his uncle nodded, he walked to the door slowly. He took one last look at the place, then stepped out, and headed east.

It wasn't a long walk, but it WAS through a forest. The spring, and the shrine near it, were on the other side of the forest. However, as he stepped into the forest, he realized that there was something wrong with it. Monsters had started walking the land, and boy were they ugly. He fought a few, then realized there were too many, and knew he'd have to run and jump past them. He gathered himself, then took off at a dead sprint, leaping over a couple of monsters that tried to bite him. In the run, crossing the forest was fairly easy. In fact, before he knew where he was, he was on the other side, and face to face with the ornately carved shrine and beautiful spring.

Dytto, the Water Spirit

She gasped in her sleep, her usually disturbing dreams calming themselves a bit - yet the scary parts were much scarier. She whimpered, and murmered something unintelligible even to herself. It must be! It must be, she realized, that a new Spirit King had been crowned. That was the only explanation....

She cried out into the darkness, into the nothing, the nowhere. The fights, the violence, the monstrosoties that awaited this long-coming King! She hoped, prayed, cried for her new warrior, longed to touch his face and heal his wounds... and thank him appropriately for her rescue.

OH! Her rescue! If she even knew herself where she was, she may could meet him partway! As it was, she'd been placed into a deep sleep, to stay until the King was within proximity. And this is why she regained some sense of rreality, some sense of the occurances of the day. And why she was able to hope, to wait, to cry and pray for her soon-arriving warrior - her King.

Kain took in the tranquil scene. He was tempted to rest there, but he didn't feel he had the time. He sighed, and headed past the spring, and up into the shrine. The architecture was ancient, ornate, and very durable. It almost looked as if there was once a town above it, but he didn't have time to worry about that. He ran into the shrine, navigating the shrine itself with ease. There were a few taxing puzzles, some switches to find and hit. He also found a bow and enchanted quiver of arrows. That would be useful, he thought. Finally, he entered a room with a locked door and no visible way to open it. That's when he heard it. A low rumbling, hidding in shadow. Suddenly, a massive, bloated body fell from the ceiling, landing in the water. A wall of water moved towards him, fast. It was all he could do to leap over it. He knew he'd have to fight this creature, and proceeded. Using the bow and arrows, he took careful aim, and fired. It took several dozen shots, but finally, he struck a nerve in the creature, and it fell, breathing one last sigh before passing from the world. The door opened with a loud noise, and he proceeded into a small room with two flames, plenty of water, and a small, glowing blue cube. He stepped into the cube, and suddenly found himself face to face with a beautiful young blonde woman. "Um. Are you...the spirit of the water?"

Dytto awoke with a start, and suddenly she was face to face with... with a very handsome guy!

"What?? yes! Yes, I am the Water Spirit." Dytto remembered her manners, and made a significant bow-slash-curtsey. "My name is Dytto, and I am forever endebted to you for rescuing me." She laid her hands atop his shoulders, and restored his health and satisfied his fatigue.

"I have something for you." She handed him the prize of the shrine, and his eyes widened. "It is for you. Use it for good, and to free the rest of the spirits. I will go with you, where I can, and any time you need me you simply should find fresh water." Dytto gently kissed his cheek, and then backed away, blushing slightly. "You are my Master now. Can I know your name?"

Kain blinked, as the young woman looked at him strangely, then bowed, and put her hands on his shoulders. He immediately felt strength welling up within him again, and his fatigue was gone. Then she handed him a small, ornate scroll case. He opened it slowly, and read the scroll inside, which apparently granted him the ability to enchant a Rod with healing energy. Now if only he had a Rod, he thought. Then he blinked again, as she explained that she will be accompanying him, and kissed his cheek. When she called him Master, he blushed slightly, then bowed low. "I am Kain. Pleased to meet you, Dytto."

Rikah awoke from her slumber. Where was she? she wondered, opening her eyes to utter darkness. "Great, I'm stuck in a fucking wormhole" she muttered, letting out a small growl. Placing her hand to her head she felt it. Blood. Dry Blood. "The hell?" she moaned, puzzled. Rikah walked around her new home. She had been stripped of all clothing, for the possibility of not killing anyone she wondered. "Heh..fucking nothing, figures" she chuckled, sitting on a rock. It had been for good measure too. She thought to herself, asking herself questions of who put her here, and how obviously that person knew her powers to control sound. She screamed, bringing her hands to her face. 'You...you did this, didn't you Rei?" she cried, scratching at her forehead, trying to release the demon that controlled her. it was then she felt it again, open wounds, and the oh so familiar stickiness of fresh blood, trinkling down her pale, scornful face. Rei laughed in her mind, teasing, tempting her to release her anger and sorrow, in which Rei know quite well, was impossible for either spirit. They were one and the same. Two spirits of different powers trapped for all eternity, in a body of a soul less female. The Sound Spirit as they were known, The troubled spirit is what is yet to be known to their master.

"And my pleasure to meet you, Kain. Do you know where it is that you must go next? Master, I am here, as yours, and will go where you go, heal you and purify what I can. I must always be nearest water, though. If you must trek into unwatered lands, I must wait for your return. There are more spirits to free, my lord. What task is next?"

Dytto wasn't sure if Kain even knew what was next, and she was willing to rest here for a time if that is what he wished. Yet, his strength was renewed, and Dytto couldn't imagine what they would wait for, except she assumed that her Master to be much wiser than herself and would do as he asked.

Kain blinked. The constant Master talk was a little unnerving, coming from the gorgeous blonde woman. He had to struggle to form coherent thoughts, but finally came to a decision. "We should go back and see my uncle. Unless you have any ideas, or need anything." He honestly knew very little about the spirits. In fact, he knew very little about much of anything besides combat and world history. Still, as he stood there, standing so close to her, he couldn't help but admire her. She was very beautiful, with a good figure. His eyes slowly ran down her body, then back up.

Dytto smiled, and curtsied. "As you wish. As long as we are within reasonable distance of water, I will come with you. Lead the way, Master Kain." She smiled and motioned in front of them with one arm. With the other, she took his elbow and pulled herself close to him.

She had been floating, not quite standing really, inside the cube. As a spirit, she could not leave the cube unless she was with the holder of the Golden Armlet. Now, as she stood - yes, stood - with him on the cold, stone ground, Dytto took a deep breath. Yes, it had been a long while since she'd breathed the air of the human realm. It was mucky, and not quite clean, but still refreshing to the spirit whose very existance depended on helping the humans.

Dytto didn't notice the rise and fall of her chest as she purposefully breathed. She didn't notice the light sheen of sweat appearing on her human-form skin. And even if she had, it wouldn't dawn on the girl - about 18 in human years - that this might be attractive to her Master. She knew nothing of such encounters. These were something enjoyed only here in the human world, and as such, a human would have to teach a novice such as Dytto the actions, reactions, and intricasies that the girl would soon be feeling. All in good time, though, and Dytto wouldn't notice the passage of time for things she didn't know were coming.

Kain blinked, startled as Dytto wrapped her arms around one of his. The feel of her body pressed up against his, warm and soft, caused a stirring within him. He turned his head to look at her, watching her for a few moments. "Are you okay? You're sweating, and breathing a little heavily." To be honest, seeing her skin shining slightly from the sweatsheen on her body was rather attractive. He'd read a few books about sex, but he'd never had a woman this close to him before. He looked at her with concern in his face, and lust in his pants.

Dytto collected herself, and curtsied, and immediately replaced her arm.

"Yes! Yes, Master Kain. I am okay. I am just... overwhelmed. Relieved to be back in the human realm. It has been long.... I was just a girl.... The air. The air is so different here." She did the quick curtsey thing again. "But I am okay. We can go, if you wish." Dytto tucked her head to one side a bit, looking at Kain a little slant-ways, her blond locks falling to one side of her body.

"Are... are YOU okay, Master Kain?"

Kain blinked, then decided to accept her story. He smiled, and nodded. "Yeah, I'm fine. I've just never had a beautiful woman call me Master before." He leaned down, and gently kissed her cheek, then started walking, letting her keep her arms around his. "So, what DO you know?"

Dytto blinked back, and tilted her head in the other direction. She was confused as to why he would be upset with her calling him Master - after all, that's what he was. But, nonetheless, he seemed to want to pick her brain about things which were fuzzy in definition even to her. Yet, if it is what the Master wants, she would try.

"Not much, Master - er, I mean Kain - honestly. Only that, even as you have found the Golden armlet, it means the Silver Armlet has been found as well. My dreams have spoken to me, and I very much suspect that an evil being seeks to cause distress to us, the spirits, and to the human world itself. It is for you to save us - save us all."

Kain nodded, considering. "That's about what I was told. So, what is your purpose in all this? What happens after we save the world? I suppose you don't know, do you? Oh well. Hmm...I just realized it's night time. We might want to stay in the shrine till morning. The monsters seem less eager to come out in the daylight." He smiled, disarmingly. "And you can call me Master if you want, I don't mind. Though it will take some getting used to."

She nodded excitedly, glad to not have to deal with monsters so soon. "Yes! yes, Master! We can stay here! We can... can...." The pretty blond became lost in thought, and had a confused look on her face. What would they do in the shrine, alone, at night? As a spirit she didn't need sleep, and it hadn't dawned on her yet that Kain might - at least eventually.

Suddenly, she grinned, and pulled Kain close. "You can tell me about your uncle! And how you happened upon the armlet. I guess that is as good a place to start as any...." Dytto shrugged, backing away from him just a bit now and looking into his face. It was just as much a question as it was a statement, as the young spirit-girl was a little confused, a lot overwhelmed, and quite a bit anxious to see what would unfold on their journey.

Kain smiled at the enthusiasm, then the sudden halting of words as she thought. Then, without warning, she grabbed him, pressing herself up tight against him. He blinked, the closeness causing an instant hardon, which she didn't notice before she backed away. At her suggestion, he nodded slowly, then looked for a place to sit down. Finally finding an old stone bench, he lowered himself onto it, doing his best to hide the evidence of his reaction to her touch. Then he thought carefully. "My uncle has lived here as long as I can remember. When my parents died, he raised me. Taught me how to fight, gave me a lot of books to read. Still, reading is not the same as doing, so there's a lot I don't really know. As for the armlet, I sort of fell into a cave. When I woke up, I was wearing it. I searched the cave, and found a gold cube floating in midair. I touched it, and heard a voice telling me about the armlet, and its twin. That reminds me, my uncle still hasn't told me much of anything about this thing." He sighed, then stretched. "It's been a long day."

Dytto was filled with compassion for her new friend - at least, she assumed him a friend. He seemed friendly enough, even for a master. She scooted over next to him, and began rubbing and soothing his muscles. Her hands were magical, causing instant relaxation and relief, and her sincere concern and empathy for him intensified the powers even more.

"Oh! It has been a hard day for you, hasn't it. Here, let me comfort you, let me hold you in my hands, let me relax and soothe your body." Knowing that more contact was better, Dytto placed herself atop him, and continued her slow and gentle massage. Not realizing what effects this may have on her new male-master, she encouraged Kain to keep talking.

"Your uncle, he knows more about the armlets, the spirits, and how and why you may have found - or were you chosen? - for the armlet? Does he know where to find the silver armlet? Surely he can provide you with a suitable weapon."

Kain shivered under her touch, moaning softly as the tension in his muscles slowly melted away. He had laid down part way through it, and then blinked when she climbed on top of him. He was hard again instantly, and he hoped that she didn't move far enough down him to feel it poking against her. He didn't know what her reaction to that would be. He had the sudden hope that she'd be delighted, but knew that that was a stretch. He answered her questions carefully. "I would say he knows more than he's letting on. I have no idea if he knows where to find the silver armlet, but he gave me the short sword I carry."

Short sword? Oh!

Dytto giggled delightfully as she sat up right where she was. "Is this the short sword?" Quickly, before Kain could even begin to protest, the innocent girl had his pants unbuttonged and unzipped, and her hand inside as she grasped what she thought to be the "sword".

"It doesn't seem very sharp. I am not a swordsmith, but I should think a weapon should have sharp sides, or at least a sharp tip." She moved her fingers firmly, but not roughly - just in case there WAS a sharp point - over the tip of Kain's 'sword' as she spoke. Stroking it up and down once, through the cloth within his pants, she made a face at its dullness. No, this would never work as a weapon, and Dytto began tugging at Kain's pants to get a view of the crappy thing.

Rikah layed against the cold floor, staring up at the darkened ceiling.Blood christened her face, framing her grotesque beauty. The pain was numbing to her. She sighed. "Is there anyway out of this place?" she wondered, closing her eyes. It was then she heard it. Voices. One oh too familiar. "The Water Spirit is awakened?" she gasped, licking her crimson-stained lips. "This should be interesting" she said, chuckling into the dark cave of eternal unhappiness. Rikah shook her head, crying out in pain. "Dammit" she cursed, squirming around the dirt-filled floor, like a worm exploring it's surroundings. It was then, Rei awoke, smiling, singing her lonesome tune. "He's close-by Rikah.." she whispered, giggling slightly at the thought of meeting her new master.
