I think that tickling, as torture, is most artful when it is applied with feigned indifference to the subject's distress - exposing neither enjoyment of her predicament, nor sympathy. Simply proceeding with the tickling, completely oblivious to its effects, the tickler lazily, leisurely twiddles and diddles away, never hurried, never stopping...
