wow, i can't really believe they did it. i'm from pa, so i'm deffinately a philly sports fan, but damn, the kicked the lakers in the ass and made them go home crying lets' go sixers..........
Hey Tony, was there anyone other than the two of us hyping the Sixers at all through the playoffs??? I mean, You Gotta Believe!!! Raja Bell, coming up huge again, it all started with his Defense in game 6 agains Milwaukee, which ignited that rally to cut the deficit. And Gieger? He finally showed a little heart. Snow? Hitting that clutch J with 10.5 in OT??? Mutombo, on the bench and in foul trouble? Iverson, turning it up when it mattered most??? Oh my...GO SIXERS!!!
Angel pie, I would try to explain to you how much the Sixers mean to this community here, but I don't think I could express it adequately. For me, I've been a die hard Sixers fan for life. More than any other sports team. And to see what this team has done, and is doing, especially after all the hard years when only the true die hards came out, is an incredible feeling. Sure, I hate that I can't get tickets easily now, but it's a trade off I'll gladly take for the excitement that this team generates throughout the entire community. I mean, the little Sixers vans might have a cheesy little logo, but it's true, I'm sure you've seen 'em too Tony, the ones that say: "Your Team, Our Community." And it really is.
I'm so tired this morning - I feel like I was playing right alongside the Sixer's. All along I've been telling people that they shouldn't discount the Sixer's. They have heart and they have such a strong desire. That's what's gotten them this far. Just think, they did all of this with all of the injuries they're playing with. I'm from Philadelphia, originally, and have felt all along that the Sixer's will give the Laker's a run for their money. People don't know what this team does all during the year. I have seen and heard the many stories about Iverson just happening upon a basketball game and stopping to play, along with Snow by his side. They are not what you think, people, these are people who do nice things that you just don't hear about. I could go on and on, but I think you get the point about what I'm trying to say. I'll get off my soapbox now and just sit back and enjoy the Snow, I mean show. lol
If Shaq had hit his free throws and Kobe had shown up at all, it wouldn't have even been close! Iverson won't come near his game 1 performance and you can't keep Kobe down for long. Lakers in 5!!!!!
