The silence is deafening...

I wrote a story for the Halloween contest and less than 100 people read it. This is completely out of kilter for anything else I've written. Even the really bad ones had over 1000 readers. It's especially strange given that that the story appeared both on the new stories page and on the Halloween contest page. I just don't get it.

If anyone would like to read it and/or provide a possible explanation, I'd be very interested.

I don't know why no one has read it, but that first paragraph is really funny. I haven't the time to read it tonight, but I'll check it out tomorrow. Good luck.

Very funny story.

the title and premise might turn away readers looking for the more conventional witch/bat/"trick or treat dressed up as a hooker" story.

I know I skipped over it cause the frankenstein thing didn't catch my attention. I'm glad you brought me back to it.

A few minor notes, like her asking Caesar to " make love" ring false~ its sex she wants, not love. But these are quibbles.

I think it just is a specialized audience story.
