This is a place to come when you need to take shelter.

I think right now, alot of us need a place to huddle together and seek the comfort we need.

This is a place for hugs. A place of peace and a place just to let it all out.

it's a place to leave messages of comfort for others, things that have comforted you, a place just to be together.

I know that I need this shelter as much as anyone else right now, so who wants a hug?:rose:

Seeing all the *HUSG*'s here made me smile... So sweet, and so appropriate. :rose:

I'm making comfort food. Ya'll are welcome to join me for dinner.

EL - you are a tower of strength.

I've not much to add, I've expressed my feelings in the appropriate places. And I've sat and read all day (instead of writing as I'd promised myself I'd do) reflecting in the love and memories of both friends and acquaintences.

I exchanged PM's with Colly last month, on the 24th, we have adjoining stories in the 20C Women chain, sorting out plots, overlaps and characters - 'Tell me what you need,' she said, 'and I'll make sure my story ties to yours.' A day or so later, she sent me a single paragraph giving me the opening link I needed for my story. A simple gesture, and yet it reveals so much. And now I have a quandry, I've sat puzzling it all day. The story I'm writing, and the story outlined to Colly in the synopsis I sent her, is about the untimely death of a young woman, told through the words of her female partner. I'm not sure I should continue with the story and I'm equally certain Colly would want me to complete the tale.

One thought, if you need to tell someone you love them, or admire them; or if you've argued with someone and want to meet them half-way... tell them today. Don't wait for tomorrow.

Bless your heart, love

Do as you must, I feel as you do that Colly would want you to write it, but only do so if and when you want to or feel you can do. :rose:

You give good advice, today is a day to act, to share and especially to love

Neon, I know for sure that Colly would have insisted you complete the story. I know it would probably be painful, especially considering the subject matter, but she would have wanted it. :rose:

And yes indeed. It's so incredibly important to do so today, and every day, or whenever possible.

Lou,if you share the choccie digestives they won't be so bad for ya ;) just sayin' :D

EL, it's roast beef and potatoes. The smell of it cooking is almost as comforting as it will taste later tonight.

Lou, it's good to see you. :rose: *HUSG*

Neon, I think you should complete the story. It might be awkward at first, but it might also be cathartic.

Mmm roast beef, yes it's a comforting smell, very earthy and homly. I'm definitely in for a plate *grins* thanks for sharing Mck!

EL, I don't know how you manage to be such a tower of strength with everything going on in your life but I just wanted to say you're amazing and I thought you should know. :rose:

Ok, EL, I'm happy to share (if you let me lick the chocolate off them first - ewwwww, lol!).

McK, thanks, good to see you, too, sweetie.

Wise words you offer, both here and on the other thread. Thank you all.

I'm going to let this settle for a few days, then tackle finishing the story. I'll keep it as is, I don't want to get into trouble when I meet with her again.

Lady -I had too, there's so many people here who just need some comfort and I need some too, I can't be here all the time, but whilst I'm here I am more than happy to help and comfort and well, enjoy the warmth of hugs, HUSG and cuddles etc.

thanks for your kind words :rose:

Erm...I think I'll pass, thanks. Saving myself for McK...well her roast beef at the very least. :D

Neon -I think, although right now it's hard to contemplate the finishing of the story is the right thing for you to do. Take your time, love. :rose:
