Off today.

I'll really be cutting back on the hours for few months until freight picks back up again. We don't need the extras shift and I don't need the extra work, so I'll just be filling in for other people's days off, but we all know that after Christmas, it takes a lot of people a lot of time not to feel so broke...

;)

Her ass begs to be bitten.

Last year, we slowed way down in January, and it took a few months to pick back up. Persoanlly, I have been running better this month than I was in November and early December. It shows no sign of slowing.

All this work and I may be buyin' some bumble bee stripes :D

The old days

I've gotten so I like third shift, truth be told.

The worst part of it is that I just don't quite see as well at night as I did 30 years ago, but the $40/set headlight replacements and a pair of replacement lenses to do away with the fogged-over old plastic ones make a world of difference.

A hundred for the lot, 30 minutes of labour, and what a colossal fucking improvement.

If you had a car with the old fashioned headlights, you could buy H4 lights. Cibie or Marshal, and put 80/100 bulbs in them. That was light! And with lenses that put the light on the road with a sharp lineacross the top so you don't blind the oncoming traffic.

I was purchasing mine from an auto parts store in Boulder and it says on the box "for off road use only". What illegal? The guy at the counter told me to go down to the Sherrie's parking lot. Yup every car. How are they going to ticket you for using what they use.

Those fancy-ass bulbs both burned out yesterday - or I have bigger problems. Fortunately, I saved the stock bulbs that came with the new light buckets, so I'll be installing them today.

Silly little shit I hadn't planned to do. but it's easy.

Good thing the high beams still work fine.
