And why would I be thanking mr cut-and-paste? Why would I thank the man who’s the master of graph manipulation?

Well the answer is simple.

He’s comparing me to rgjohn, LITEROTICA’S greatest author. To be mentioned in the same breath as this giant (even if unfavorably) is an honor.

Gary, one of only five authors who have won a MANU AWARD, the greatest lifetime achievement award in erotic literature, is both my mentor and hero. Here’s a welcome I issued him some years ago:

Well db, the strange thing is that the two VIEW graphs DO look similar. Both have two large spikes (gary’s are slightly higher than mine) followed by lower sales (but still at very, very respectable levels) in later stories.

Gary does have one more spike some 4 or 5 years after his original two. As you are no doubt aware these are for his ILLUSTRATED story “A Life Changing Trip With Mom” (a wonderful story by the way) two chapters of which have reached one million in sales. At the time I wrote him asking which program he’d used to generate his illustrations. He was quite helpful and while I put my own illustrated story on hold at the time I do still plan on writing a million selling ILLUSTRATED category in the future.

8% vs 11%? A huge difference? I think not. And without the ILLUSTRATED story I think you’ll find us very close together indeed.

What makes your post doubly ironic is that Gary Johns was also attacked by jealous AHers way back when. Here’s one of three threads I’ve seen that accused him of vote and view rigging.

drk, whilst the Harris disclaimer is fine, it only applies to copies and not to links. The US 9th District Court has decreed that so-called 'hotlinking' is not a breach of copyright because a copy has not been made. Google has been cleared with thumbnails because it is 'innovative'.

Whilst I find what scouries does unethical, unfortunately it's not illegal. I'm sure, if we ask, he'll give us full details of the royalties he pays to sites he steals bandwidth from.
