She wants me to have 60 carbs every meal! WTF! 60...thats a lot...thats like...180 carbs a day...heres the menu she gave me, for one day I'm supposed to eat all this food and lose weight...I think she's crazy...

Breakfast:

1 small fresh fruit or 1/2 cup fruit juice. (15 g of carbs)
3/4 cup cheerios (15 g)
1 slice wheat toast (15 g)
1 tsp margerine (0 g)
8 oz of skim or 1% milk (12 g)
coffee or tea

Lunch

1 oz lean meat sandwich (30 g)
1 cup raw vegetablles or 1/2 cup cooked vegetables (5 g)
1 fresh fruit (15 g)
1/2 cup sugar free pudding (15 g)

Dinner
3 oz lean meat (chicken, turkey, beef, pork or fish)
1 med baked potato or 1 cup pasta (30 g)
1 cup nonstarchy vegetables (10 g)
1 fresh fruit (15 g)
4 oz skim or 1% milk

Snack

3 cups popped popcorn

How am I supposed to eat all that and lose weight? I'm eating like one of those meals, spread out through-out the day and maintaining my weight...it doesn't make sense.

you have to eat to lose weight.

seriously, you have a brain, use it.

And you can't throw any of it up.

It sounds like a healthy diet to me. You'll probably lose a pound or so a week on it.

REALLY heavy on the carbs...gosh, isn't atkins like 20 carbs a day? LOL I think I'm gonna go a lot lower on carbs...probably aim for 60 for the entire day, not for one meal.

You really should do what the person says. There may be a reason you don't know about.

You need to listen to your doctor, you don't know what you're doing.

Okay, Atkins is crazy.

There are "good" carbs, and "bad" carbs. What shes having you eat are good carbs - whole grains, starchy vegetables, etc. Those are incredibly important for you to be healthy.

If you were taking in all those carbs as cake, it would be a bad plan. But, since they're things like whole wheat toast - it will help fill you up, and help you lose weight.

ITALIAN PASTA DIET -- IT REALLY WORKS !!

1.. You walka pasta da bakery.

2. You walka pasta da candy store.

3. You walka pasta da Ice Cream shop.

4..You walka pasta da table and fridge.

You will lose weight!

When you fell out of the stupid tree and hit every branch, leaf and acorn on the way down.

The stupid tree is an oak? I would've guessed some kind of evergreen, for stupid is always in season.

you really do have to eat in a certain calorie range to lose weight.

too little is just as bad as too much.

Yeah I know...I'm gonna try to eat normal...and try really hard not to binge and purge...but thats really hard to do...but I'm gonna try. I know like half the calories are still aborbed after throwing up so that sucks

20 carb grams is on the induction part of the diet only.. to kick start your metabolism.

You could possibly cut back on some of the carbs and possibly add a bit more protein. The protein will also help you stay feeling fuller longer. But you do need to eat all of the meals. Your metabolism will thank you. When you starve your body of the fuel it needs, your metabolism slows way down which makes it even harder to lose weight.

That eating plan they have you on seems well balanced. To lose weight you need to speed your metabolism up, hence eating the right foods, drinking plenty of water & introducing a small amount of exercise to start with. You will be amazed what eating right can do for your waistline.
