The story starts with the main character spending a week or so crying. The character then starts going out with a rape victim. He brings her out of her shell, gives her confidence, gets her to the point where she's able to have sex (and they do). Eventually, he breaks up with her (or causes her to break up with him). He spends another week or so crying, and then it starts again.

The basic idea is that the main character heals rape victims with his love, but then breaks it off to find new victims to heal. If one wants a happy ending, I suppose one could have the story be about a final rape victim who he does not break up with despite him trying to cause her to do so (or says no when he says he is breaking up with her). Whether the victim is aware of his mission as a de facto rape counselor or not is a decision for the author.

Well I suppose the question is; Why does this character do what he does, is there something in his past that makes him the way he is or is he just a product of his own feelings towards life, etc etc...

Not sure it is necessary for a story to include that, but I see nothing wrong with including it.
