Two Russians looking to avoid military service seek asylum after reaching Alaska​

Two Russians who said they fled the country to avoid compulsory military service have requested asylum in the U.S. after landing on a remote Alaskan island in the Bering Sea, a senator's office said.

Predominantly, young, educated, economically active and affluent males. Meanwhile, the goal of 300,000 draftees is likely not reached, but the chaos and problems to house and equip, even less train the 150,000~200,000 collected are evident and embarrassing.

I also see that Finland closed it's borders with the speed of lightening.
While the majority are genuine reffugess,
I can only imagine that Putin sent in undercover operatives too.

That's not the main worry. Unlike the people that flew back in March, a whole lot of this wave aren't against the war as such, up to and including including brandishing Z sybolic only hastily removing it when heard border guards even in Armenia and Kazakhstan is turning around people openly displaying such.

Those people are not running because they disagree with war or Kremlin politics at large, only because they disagree that they personally have to die for it.
