Bump this thread as the case moves forward. There is more here than meets the eye. Representative Nunes said last night the four prosecutors involved will, in the coming days and weeks, to be corrupt and involved in some shady activity during the Mueller investigation. Note as well that Trump pulled Jessie Liu's Treasury Department nomination. She was involved in many politically charged cases including the Stone's and Flynn's questionable prosecutions.

All four Justice Department prosecutors who sought seven to nine years of jail time for Roger Stone have withdrawn from the case after reportedly misleading DOJ officials over the sentencing recommendation.

Stone was a nobody convicted of crimes in the Trump-Russia investigation that revealed no collusion.
He was never charged with anything involving the Russians, just process crimes (mixed up dates when testifying and minor shit like that). If everyone who lied to Congress was sent to jail, half of CNN's talking heads would have to be replaced.

It's easy to understand why, they were toting water for Andrew Weissmann and stomping their feetzees because the Mueller report was a bust! :D. This whole thing is a shitshute without merit. This is about sentencing guidelines, a judge hasn't ruled one way or another yet. Fucking Schumer bloating like a fucking cow in heat. God he's such a hypocrite. They.... the dems!...are laying the foundation for yet another coverup, deflecting attention and guilt away from their own corruption. Every time I see Schumer on TV I need a barf bag!!

Stone is nothing but a dinosaur of a partisan political hack. He is the prototypical Swamp creature. The ONLY reason some Republicans and Trump like him is because he's on their side. Socialists despise him because the tool's not on their side.

The judge should have mercy on him and give him probation so he can go home and gag on his dentures and die. One less Swamp creature always makes America greater.

And trump would be in jail.

Oh right, you're a trumper who thinks he is a god and doesnt lie. Never mind.

Is McCabe going to get nine years? I haven't heard Weissman calling for his prosecution.

How does a prosecutor who is infamous for prosecutorial misconduct an who has been slapped down by the Supreme Court for his prosecutorial misconduct end up running the Mueller show?

You do realise the judge does not have to follow anyone's sentencing guideline.

I wonder if she will give him 25 years and tell the guards to throw away the key to his cell.

Then Trump can just pardon him, or not. It's Trump and well he's not really all that loyal....

The very idea that it took four experienced prosecutors for this nothing case is preposterous. The idea that Stone is capable of intimidating a witness is ridiculous (and it wasn't intimidation, it was a joke).
There was no Russia collusion and Mueller should have found that out the day he walked in the door to start the investigation. If you care to know, the FBI knew there was no collusion in January 2017.
But the Democrats have to have Stone in jail so there is at least one conviction tied to the myth of Russia collusion.

She's probably going to throw the book at him, she's an Obama appointee. As far s I'm concerned all of these phony prosecutions should be thrown out as "fruit of the poisonous tree."

Trump can absolutely tell the attorney general what he thinks is appropriate and the Attorney General can definitely order his minions to do exactly what he thinks is appropriate. A president that can pardon can sure as hell suggest adhering to the actual sentencing guidelines for a described crime.

The left has become a cartoon. These are the same people that said the president of the United States could order his attorney general to not prosecute an entire class of people in this country illegally simply because they are potential Democratic voters.

it was a SET UP

that they found NOTHING

says it all

The only reason Mueller did not find anything is because Chief Bone Spurs kept invoking "Executive Privilege" which is NOT in our Constitution. Executive privilege is an "implied power", nothing more. Chief Bone Spurs kept telling all his admin to not testify, to ignore all subpoenas. As for "collusion", Mueller in his report stated he would not use the term "collusion" as their was no legal definition for it but he would use the term "coordination."

Bingo!!!!

It's another process crime based on a report that was bogus. Everyone prosecuted for shit found in the Mueller report should not only be pardoned but brought back to their original financial status, with the exception of Manafort and the Russians. I agree, most are swamp creatures but this is a product of the poison tree. This was not justice, this was an abuse of power by the corrupt Obama DOJ, FBI and INTEL agency. The DUNG BEETLES Schumer, Schiff and Pelosi can take a flying fuck on a 10 ft CACTUS

The new Trumper mantra:

It was only a process crime.

(Because perjury, obstruction, and false statements are no big deal anymore.)

The refuge of liars.

LOL, defend at all costs.

What about the witness tampering?

Tell me again how republicans are for the rule of law. :D

Do you have any working brain cells left? It's an enhancement decision that the judge will make and unless the Constitution was rewritten overnight the Executive branch doesn't have a damn thing to do with the Judicial branch.

Barr is well within his authority to admonish the attorneys involved, no impropriety there at all. (And thank God those POS bastards resigned. Good bye and good riddance.) But when it's all said and done it's the judges decision to make.

Please, save that bullshit for someone who will buy it.

Trump's tweets made Barr reverse the official position of the DOJ because he was afraid to get fired (which is legitimate considering the vindictive shit-stain president just did that to others).

That is executive interference in a judicial proceeding.

Hopefully the judge does the right thing and follows the sentencing the guidelines. Witness tampering is a serious felony and directly undermines the rule of law.

You embarrass yourself with this ignorance you insist on posting. Get an education.

Witness tampering. What did he do exactly, halfway threaten to take a dog away? 9 years in prison? Rapist and larcenists don't get that kind of time. But go right ahead and give him nine years, it will justify support for long prison sentences for those Durham is going to indict.

NOW THEY'RE DISCOVERING TAINTED JURORS!! Wonder if SWAMP QUEEN and Schumer the DUNG BEETLE will complain about biased jurors. Maybe they'll blame Barr for that too!!

What kind of spin is this? Stone threatened to steal someone's service dog.

Hold on big guy.
Impeached POS president trump said murderers and drug addicts, not rapists and larcenists.

Which I take to mean, if you have serious surgery and the doctors give you excessive pain meds and you become addicted to them then the dumbass thinks you should do 9 years in prison.
Your impeached president is a dummy

Some folks just can't seem to wrap their head around the fact that this is about sentencing guidelines. That's all there is to it.
