Why would a red H appear on one of my new chapters and then disappear?

A red H denotes score over 4.5. It goes away if the score drops below that. It will come back if the score rises above it again.

Why would a red H appear on one of my new chapters and then disappear?

The H essentially stands for ‘Hot’ and appears when a story with 10 or more votes has an average vote rating of 4.50 or more. If the average rating drops below 4.50, the H disappears.

Presumably, should a sweep (a site removal of spurious votes) remove enough votes to leave your story with less than 10, it would also lose the red H.
