Black Americans: The True Casualties of Amnesty
Democrats throw black voters under the bus.
A. J. Delgado, NRO
JULY 9, 2014

One of the sleeper issues surrounding the debate on amnesty for illegal immigrants – an inconvenient one that no proponent of a widespread amnesty wishes to acknowledge – is the devastating effect so-called immigration reform will have on African Americans.

The black unemployment rate is almost 11 perceny, far higher than that of any other group profiled by labor statistics. African Americans are disproportionately employed in lower-skilled jobs – the very same jobs immigrants take. As Steven Camarota asked in a recent column, why double immigration when so many people already aren’t working?

Who will be harmed most by amnesty? African-Americans.

The issue resurfaced this week when a YouTube video emerged of two young African-Americans confronting pro-illegal-immigration demonstrators in Murrieta, California. Murrieta is one of the towns in which undocumented minors are being relocated — and supporters are squaring off with protestors.

The young man argues:

If somebody brought six children to your house and you ain’t got no job, are you gonna take them in?… What are you gonna do? Are you gonna try to go out there and take care of these children AND the children you got already that you can’t take care of?… What are we going to do for the people who are here who are starving already?… We got our OWN people that are starving and hungry…. Why would we add to the problem?!

He also laments the problems in black neighborhoods where prices “are upped on everything” after large groups of immigrants move in.

The young woman argues:

It’s just too much…. We already have our own poor people. Starvation, kids walking with no shoes…. We don’t need other people’s kids to bring more problems…. You’re gonna watch America go spiraling down… We’re already in debt as it is. [Now] we’re gonna need more money to support these kids.

Why are Democratic politicians disregarding the concerns and needs of black Americans in a push to address the concerns and needs… of foreigners? Amnesty proponents speak of the need to grant others a better life – but what of the need to look out for our fellow Americans? What of those black Americans whose ancestors quite literally built this nation through the sweat of their brows?

Instead, Democrats are chucking aside black voters in their rush to lock in the Latino vote (or so they’re hoping). Taken for granted as a given come election-time, blacks are now actively harmed as the Democrats vow to grow their voting base through importing more and more of what they see as future blue-voters. It’s the husband who leaves his wife of 30 years: ‘We had a good run, honey, but I’ve found someone new.’

"Meanwhile, the harm to African Americans is not limited to reduced wages, greater competition for jobs, and declining household incomes – now even the black history of suffering is being diluted. Liberal columnist and CNN pundit Sally Kohn penned a column last week arguing that the term ‘illegal immigrant’ is the same as the N-word. Kohn, is usually fair-minded and reasoned in her arguments, lumping black Americans’ unique history and suffering with that of certain Latino immigrants is absurd and offensive. Consider that the N-word was used to describe a person who was whipped daily, while ‘illegal immigrant’ is a word used to describe a person who receives free education (even in-state tuition!), housing, driver’s licenses, legal aid, food, and healthcare. To even claim the two words are similar is an unthinkable affront – and insult – to African-Americans.

...

"Democrats have built a brand as the party willing to stand up for black Americans, but the amnesty push shows what a false promise that was. The message to black voters is: 'Yes, your ancestors endured unimaginable hardships and helped build this country, and we said we’d help you out. But now we have a new trophy wife.'"

A wise Latina!

"Harvard professor George Borjas estimated that high immigration rates from 1980 to 2000 resulted in a 7.4 percent wage reduction for lower-skilled American workers…. The Center for Immigration Studies issued a study based on Census data showing that “since 2000 all of the net gain in the number of working-age (16 to 65) people holding a job has gone to immigrants.”… If mass immigration is so good for the economy, why then — during this long sustained period of record immigration into the U.S. — are incomes falling and a record number of Americans not working?"

AJ's been in full passive-aggressive "Let's you and him fight" mode all week.

Yesterday it was Libruls vs. Christians.
Today it was Libruls vs. African Americans.

But, A_J, it will put white people out of work too!

And we still have plenty of Hispanics in reserve.

Mexico strictly enforces some of the harshest immigration laws in the world that either summarily deport or jail most who dare to cross Mexican borders illegally, much less attempt to work inside Mexico or become politically active. If America were to emulate Mexico’s immigration policies, millions of Mexican nationals living in the U.S. immediately would be sent home.

How, then, are tens of thousands of Central American children crossing with impunity hundreds of miles of Mexican territory, often sitting atop Mexican trains? Does Mexico believe that the massive influxes will serve to render U.S. immigration law meaningless, and thereby completely shred an already porous border? Is Mexico simply ensuring that the surge of poorer Central Americans doesn’t dare stop in Mexico on its way north?

The media talks of a moral crisis on the border. It is certainly that, but not entirely in the way we are told. What sort of callous parents simply send their children as pawns northward without escort, in selfish hopes of soon winning for themselves either remittances or eventual passage to the U.S? What sort of government allows its vulnerable youth to pack up and leave, without taking any responsibility for such mass flight?

Here in the U.S., how can our government simply choose not to enforce existing laws? In reaction, could U.S. citizens emulate Washington’s ethics and decide not to pay their taxes, or to disregard traffic laws, or to build homes without permits? Who in the pen-and-phone era of Obama gets to decide which law to follow and which to ignore?

Who are the bigots — the rude and unruly protestors who scream and swarm drop-off points and angrily block immigration authority buses to prevent the release of children into their communities, or the shrill counter-protestors who chant back “Viva La Raza” (“Long Live the Race”)? For that matter, how does the racialist term “La Raza” survive as an acceptable title of a national lobby group in this politically correct age of anger at the Washington Redskins football brand?

Ignore is simply an unenforceable border to the Democrat Brown Shirts.

According to The Los Angeles Times, the number of immigrants younger than 18 who were deported or turned away from ports of entry declined from 8,143 in 2008 to 1,669 last year. There were 95 minors deported from the entire interior of the country last year. This occurred as the number of unaccompanied alien children arriving from El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras exploded from less than 4,000 several years ago to 40,000 since last October.

It’s not hard to do the math and understand the incentives. “Deportation data won’t dispel rumors drawing migrant minors to the U.S.” is how the L.A. Times headlined its story.

The White House brushes off criticism that Obama is avoiding the border as mere “optics,” in contrast to its highly substantive focus. But it is still not taking the crisis seriously.

In a letter to Texas Gov. Rick Perry, White House senior adviser Valerie Jarrett downgraded the erstwhile “humanitarian crisis” on the border (the president’s words) to an “urgent humanitarian situation.” When pressed on the shift in verbiage, ever-judicious White House press secretary Josh Earnest explained that it is both a crisis and a situation. Yes, it’s that bad.

Until the day before yesterday, unaccompanied children were officially and universally known as unaccompanied alien children because “alien” is a word denoting noncitizen (you could look it up). But immigrant groups object to the word as pejorative, so the edict came down from on high to drop it, and sure enough, Jarrett didn’t use it in her missive.

Displacing Black Children from the best schools one Hispanic at a time...

Texas congressman Henry Cuellar, a Democrat, earned the ire of his party this week by wondering aloud if President Obama’s refusal to travel to the border would be his “Katrina moment.” “He should come down,” the representative told Fox News’s Neil Cavuto.

Cuellar knows well what is happening along the Rio Grande and elsewhere: The 28th district, which he represents, extends from San Antonio to Laredo and includes more than 100 miles along Texas’s southwest border. The White House is not happy. Cuellar told Fox & Friends that he has received a dressing-down from Pennsylvania Avenue.

And the administration is now defending itself against Cuellar’s comment. White House Domestic Policy Council director Cecilia Muñoz, appearing on MSNBC’s Morning Joe on Wednesday, told her hosts that “it doesn’t make sense to compare this to a natural disaster.”

For once, the White House is right. The crisis on America’s southern border is not “Obama’s Katrina.” It is much worse.

Unlike Hurricane Katrina, the border crisis is not the consequence of a natural phenomenon. Warm Atlantic waters or scraping tectonic plates cannot be blamed for the 99 percent increase in unaccompanied alien children crossing the border in Fiscal Year 2014. No, the “humanitarian situation” — Muñoz’s phrase, a noticeable downgrade of what the president himself had previously called a “crisis” — is what the White House ought to deem a “man-caused disaster,” were that euphemism not already reserved for acts of terror.

What is to blame? How about the Obama administration’s 2012 decision to implement the DREAM Act by executive order? That decision combined with the administration’s unwillingness to enforce existing immigration law, has finally worked its way to Central America, where local and international media and word of mouth have spread news of permisos, U.S. government-issued documents enabling immigrants to stay in the United States temporarily, if they can get across the border.

Efforts to label these immigrants “refugees” rely on reasons some immigrants have cited for departing their native countries: poverty, unemployment, gang-related violence. But these are longstanding problems in Honduras, Guatemala, Mexico, and elsewhere, none of which has increased dramatically enough in the last year to account for the sudden increase in illegal immigration. These factors may contribute — but it is difficult to contend that extreme poverty in 2008 was tolerable, but that in 2014 the same poverty qualifies persons for refugee status.

What has the Democrat Party done for African Americans?

President Obama’s request for $3.7 billion in supplemental funding amounts to an “admission” that he plans for the influx of immigrant children to “continue indefinitely,” according to Senator Ted Cruz (R., Texas).

Cruz said that only five percent of the funding would provide for “boots on the ground” along the southern border. “This is an HHS and social services bill that is entitled border security to make it appear as if it’s responding to the problem,” Cruz told National Review Online.

“But this supplemental bill is an admission by the president that he has no intention of solving this problem, and, indeed, that he anticipates it continuing indefinitely, because he is simply asking for money to deal with those kids who are coming after they’ve been brutalized, rather than taking the necessary steps to prevent them from coming here in the first place, to prevent them from being victimized,” Cruz also said.

The Center for Immigration Studies points out that almost half of the money requested would pay for resettlement of the immigrants.

“Of the $3.7 billion being requested, fully $1.8 billion (about 49 percent of the total) is for resettlement costs to be appropriated to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) — not just for the UACs, but for entire family units, including adult men and women,” Dan Cadman writes. “There is no reason to think that the accommodations will be temporary, insofar as the funds include authorization ‘for acquisition, construction, improvement, repair, operation, and maintenance of real property and facilities.’”

Here we go again.

Niggers cost too much to be abused.

Lets go over the reality one more time. A robust nigger man cost $1000, a fecund nigger bitch cost about $800, a healthy child sold for $500. When average wages were $125 a year, its easy to estimate a niggers value. Plus planters hadda feed, house, clothe, and care for medical issues. A sick nigger makes no money.

When a nigger murdered the penalty was hanging.

When a nigger killed or maimed another nigger whipping was the penalty. The idea was to make it severe enough the result was cathartic. Arson might get you a whipping, too. Or abusing mules.

When a nigger was a constant font of problems he was sold or transferred to a sugar plantation in the swamps of Florida or Louisiana. We're talking about rape or child abuse or battery or adultery.

DeBows Agriculture Journal featured a planter bulletin board, and most of the queries for help involved niggers who neglected their health with inadequate rest, poor nutrition, poor grooming, alcohol abuse, and refusal to use adequate seasonal clothing.

The Democrats will own the Jewish and black vote until hell freezes over. Until then don't expect them to address anything of concern for either group.

I wonder if they mentioned in the video narrative that, by federal law, most of those children can't be deported without a hearing, and there's a backlog of over 300,000 cases because of a lack of funding.

These kids from Honduras and Guatemala and whatnot are being talked about in the media in the same way as illegal immigrats.

But are they though? The one's I've heard about are those that turned up and turned themselves in at the border. From what I can see, they are actually refugees, asylum seekers by the book.

Bull shit. They are loss leaders sent here by their parents to get a free pass into the country. And why in the fuck would we want to reunite parents who are guilty of child abuse with their 'victims' here in this nation?

The rest are just uneducated criminals and their soon to be victims.

That may or may not be the intention. But that's irrelevant to my question. It doesn't mean they are not seeking asylum according to the appropriate rules.

If they didn't dodge border patrol with the intention of living a US life under the radar, if fhey didn't overstay a visa, but instead walked up and said hi (or maybe hola)... are they illegal aliens?

If you don't like the rules and if they use the rules in a loop-holey way, is another question.

They still get a trial where the merits of them being in this country will be decided on a case by case basis and not a one size fits all policy. One size fits all policies never work.

READ THE NEWS!!!!!!!

How much of that $3.7 billion is earmarked for resettlement housing? I know, why don't you? (Resettlement is NOT extradition.)

Children??? Not in any context that any American, Canadian, or Western European would understand. Go read "Oliver Twist" and then read Oliver out of the tale. Thousands of 'Artful Dodger's'.

And if you're so firm in your beliefs concerning these "children" why aren't you answering the governments call to volunteer you home to take them in? More than likely because you, and the rest of the 'all talk no action' liberals suspect I'm right. And quite frankly virtually ALL of the news on this subject has backed up my original post right up to the MS-13 gang members.

Yes, those children are living a miserable existence, so what? So are millions more in Africa, Asia, South America, and in Eastern Europe. What makes these Central Americans so special? Why don't we just open up the borders, provide free flights, and become the orphanage for the world. We can afford it, right?

Three are times when sympathy has to be relegated to it's proper position in what is best for all. And i this case that position is between 'Shit' and 'Syphilis' in any proper dictionary.

And if you believe that my putting the interests of MY children and MY grandchildren, and by extension the interests of every US citizens children and grandchildren above the interests of sick, uneducated, criminal hoards of illegal aliens an act of domestic terrorism, well then, I suppose that's a cross I'll just have to bear.
