If you count listning to music and relaxing in a chair after work quiet time, then I guess I'd have to say that every time I'm home from work I need at least a half hour of quiet time unless I've made plans that I can look forward to.

3:00 a.m.....PST

Stepping outside for a smoke. Totally quiet, listening to the seals in the Puget Sound barking away, the howl of the pack of coyotes that live about a mile away. Looking up at the stars, picking out the constellations, wondering about tomorrow, wanting that time to last.

About midnight. I love midnight. I smile as I look out the window, seeing the night sky and stars twinkling back at me. Everyone else is asleep at that time except me. Lovely.
