Anyone read this book?
 
no, but the title appeals to me strongly, as i am Sir's puppy. i would like to learn more. in fact.. i am going to go google it.
 
So I get this gift card from Amazon for Christmas. I hadn't bought a bdsm related book in 4 years or so, but this was something relatively new and it caught my eye. At first I was disappointed when I saw it was about 400 pages of nothing but emails. But now that I'm 40 pages into it, it's hard to put down. All the user ratings at Amazon gave it 5 stars. Maybe someone here can order a copy and post what they think about it?
 
well, i've been eying this book in a while, so since you INSIST i guess i'll buy it.

It appeals to me strongly as well. i am talking to a Dom right now about the idea of me being His puppy. i am very intrigued and am trying to learn more.

It's letters between Master and puppy. The whole time they are also seeing each other when they can so don't think of it as a cyber thingy. Steven has been in the scene for 40 years. According to the book.
 
Are there any other books on this topic out there? i am curious about this and am trying to learn as much as possible. Fiction or non-fiction, doesn't really matter. What about movies? i already own the movie The Pet. Any others out there?

Also, i would love to hear about experiences from puppies and/or owners if they wish to share. Difficulties? Moments of sheer happiness? Fears? Lifestyle? Etc.

(i hope this isn't hijacking the thread...if it is, let me know and i will start a new one.)

Ack, is that the same "The Pet" movie that was pseudo-advertised on here by a spammer-type person? I haven't heard anything good about that movie. :(

Yup, that's the one. It has horrible acting and a terrible ending. Still, the topic is what interested me.

I'm curious about it too Etoile, in sort of a train wreck way. I just checked Netflix and they do have it.

The book is turning into more of a biography of puppy. If you are looking for a book on "puppy play" you'll probably be disappointed. So far anyway. I'm about halfway done.
 
Well, finally finished it. There was a whole section of letters between puppy and a former Dom, and I got the impression that it was done without his permission which I found kind of creepy. And I think her story could be written by any number of submissives with a few years of experience. Save your money and read the forums.
