Luna Wolff was a wonderful and very talented young woman. She graduated from high school in New York when she was only sixteen years old. After graduation, she wanted to get a job. She wasn't born in a rich family, but they were always comfortable, and she knew just how lucky she was to be born in the life she had. And even though Luna was beautiful, she was never a bitch about it. She was kind and wanted to do her part and help her parents with the bills. Which was why she wanted to get a job because she didn't get into Juilliard's music program, which would have been a blessing in disguise.
Two weeks after graduating, she was called in for a receptionist position, and that was when she met James Carter. He was the CEO of Advanced Tactical Solutions, Inc. Because of the way he walked and talked, she knew he was in the military or at least had been in the military. It was difficult to concentrate during the interview because he was very handsome. He was older than her, but there was something attractive about him. And it had nothing to do with his looks. He was very distinguished, and she was highly interested. Sadly, she knew at the time she was a minor, so she kept her mouth shut and her head down.
He hired her as a temp, but she was a very intelligent young woman who knew all about the company and what she would be doing. She wanted to come prepared, so she researched the company and the job. Within six months, he offered her a permanent job because she was kind, on time, and did her job perfectly. So she took it, and by the time she was there a year, she could afford her own car and a small apartment that was two blocks from work. The longer Luna was there, the more friendly he became, but that was because she had worked there for three years now, and she was eighteen.
She noticed James being more friendly and not so stiff, which she thought was only because she was a minor at first, but here she was, an eighteen-year-old woman who had grown fond of him and vice versa. They got so close so fast after she turned eighteen; it was a gift that she would end up needing. On her nineteenth birthday, her parents were in a car accident and died on arrival at the hospital. When she got to the hospital, James was there with her. Her hard exterior was cracked down the middle, and something inside her broke for a while. James told her to take a month's break from work.
That month would start a course of events that would lead Luna and James to have their friendship tested. That month she took off would be the reason Luna started to see James socially, which was wonderful. They started to become very good friends, so not only was he her boss, but he was also a very good friend, her best friend, actually. Now at the age of twenty-one, she is old enough to drink and celebrated her ability to drink. Over time, she knew everything about the company she worked for, which unfortunately put a target on her back, but the reason why James told her what he did was because he could trust her.
She was on the way to hang out with James when Luna noticed she was being followed, and soon a van came out of nowhere, and she was pushed into the van, and the driver took off with her inside. She started to fight but ended up getting hit, causing her to hit her head and black out. While she was unconscious, when she was woken up, she grunted, seeing her phone in the man's hands, and was given a script to read, but she refused. She ripped it up and threw it at him until the man grabbed her by her throat. She could not breathe, and when she passed out, her body went limp.
The man told James to give him all the vials of the T666 serum. He was told they wanted all of the serum that was wanted, plus the recipe to make more, and to come alone. But they had no idea what James would do for Luna and that he secretly loved her, but due to the age difference, he was afraid of saying anything. But his love would push him to take the serum, knowing it would change him, and there was no antidote, so once the changes were complete, that would be it. She started to have a strange dream about James, but he was in the shadows, afraid to show himself to her. But all of a sudden she was slapped awake.
Luna was sitting on a chair, ropes keeping her there. She growled, "James won't come for me, and I would die before telling you anything. I won't betray James." Luna looked down, her face hurting so much. Luna had no idea what was about to happen. Luna was afraid he would try to be a hero and help her out of this. She looked down, scared of what was going to happen to her; she prayed she wouldn't be killed. She silently started to pray; she wasn't religious, really, but she knew once you died you wouldn't just vanish, at least she hoped that wasn't the case.
"James..." She said lowly, a tear falling down her face, "I should have told you I was in love with you." She cursed herself, wishing she had done things differently. But here she was, tied to a chair and possibly dying here. But she thought she sensed something; her instincts stated to work overtime in this moment and she had no idea why.
