.The Pride of the Wolf.
(Closed for fae_bella and Mhorashty)
The Pride of the Wolf sat docked amonst many ships. The cool night air brought the fresh sea breeze blowing through the dock and in through the small port town. The Captain had stopped in this Port for re-supply and to give the ship's carpenter sometime to repair some of the damage taken from the last raid they were apart of. Captain Wolf had ordered the crew to fire a volley and then prepare to board.. They'd taken in quiet a hall from that poor merchant vessel. The ship was easily twice the size of the Pride, but the Pride's crew were some of the most fearsome Pirates to sail the high sea's. They attacked with a bestial savagery fitting their Captain's name... the stories of the crew sent shivers through many sailors.
One account described the boarding Pirates as yellow-eyed, frothing demons who attacked like a pack of rabid wolves, hearding and then striking.. only to vanish as quickly as they'd appeared... then attacking again as a howl ripped forth through the nightsky, calling the Ocean Wolves to attack a weakened, and confused foe...
Captain Ruronoa "the Wolf" Zoro sat in his quarters, while most of the men had taken their pay and headed off into the port town to drink and spread their own legend..
..the Captain had just finished filling out his log book and was glancing over some of his maps.. he took a moment and leaned back and looked around the room. He saw the maps pinned to the walls, the extra set of keys to the powder room, the brig, and the hold. He pulled his black bandanna off and threw it onto the table and ran his large rough hands through his short spikey green hair. His red coat fell open and he looked down at the host of scars that crisscrossed his tanned chest and stomach.. he could recall the names of every person who'd scarred him.. as well as the manor in which they'd paid for the mark they'd left on him...
There was a quick sharp knock at the door, the tell tale knock of his First Mate, "Cap'n?" It was definitly Rooke, his first mate. Ruronoa couldn't have asked for a better first mate, the man was nearly as capable as himself. Infact, Rooke and Ruronoa had spend many hours dueling up on deck, much to the enjoyment of the men on board.. you needed something to pass the time when the winds wouldn't blow and watching the Captain and First Mate Duel across the entire ship was one hell of away to do it...
"Yeah, Rooke?" The Captain's rough voice called out from his chair. He slowly stood and strolled to his large baywindow and stared out into the night.
"Cap'n, all is well. We've still got a few more hands down in the brig if you want to use them for somethin' later on. But I've got a few of the men coming back in a few hours to switch those fella's out." Rooke said through the door. "If it's not to bold Cap'n... I think you really should take a few hours to relax."
The Captain just nodded and stared out into the pale glow of the full moon...
